Cannot get a reservation at a DVC room. Staying at Hilton Anaheim. Would this qualify as early entry privileges? Thank you!

Only the 3 Disneyland resort hotels qualify for early entry, but if you are there at rope drop, you will still get a decent amount of time with lower crowds.

No, Early Entry is only for guests at Disneyland Hotel, Grand California Hotel and Pixar Pier Hotel.

Good Neighbor Hotel means the property has paid a license fee to Disney to be listed on their website and that they are an authorized Disney Parks Ticket seller.

Torontogal, you may have heard about the old "Magic Morning" program where Disneyland visitors staying offsite who had a three-day or longer ticket could get in early one day. Unfortunately, that perk has not returned after Disneyland's pandemic closure.

Thank you everyone! I haven’t been to Disneyland in years so doing my research now. Also, how busy is the park in early October? Also, what would the expected temps be? Shirts/t-shirt weather? Tia

October is a very busy time. Lots of people coming for Halloween and then a lot of schools have fall break as well.

I usually dress in layers. Sometimes the morning and evenings can be cooler and you might need a hoodie. Sometimes it’s super hot and won’t need that. Always good to have layers just in case.

I think I read in your other post that you will be there the weekend of October 7-8. That is a US holiday (Indigenous People’s day on the following Monday), so many schools have a long weekend off that weekend. Some businesses and government offices are closed that Monday. That means very high crowds! But don’t panic! We go that weekend every year, and it is still a great time! I highly recommend park hoppers, G+ so you can use the LL and ILL$ if it is in the budget. Study the very helpful posts on here about how to maximize the value of LLs.

As for onsite hotels, I have been stalking the site every day for weeks and weeks, trying to change from our GCH pool view to a Woods/Courtyard view. No luck so far, but rooms have variously opened up nearly every time I look for something at the DLH and or something at the PPH. If your off site reservation can be cancelled, it might be worth continuing to check the onsite hotels daily. This would allow you the 30 minutes of EE to the parks.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea it was a holiday weekend. I was wondering why many tour companies are not operating on the Monday. Helpful info. Thanks.

October is one of the busiest months of the year. Pack your patience and get an early start every morning.

Temps in October can be really hot. Hard to say if it will be cooler this year or not but I’d plan on 80s to 90s.

Oh, I thought you were referring to southern California.
I swear it’s busier when Arizona and Utah have break because they flood here and stay for multi-day trips.

When Southern CA schools are off, people come for day trips, or MKs maybe just for a few hours… it’s a different vibe.

I don't doubt it. I just didn't know of any district in So Cal that had a fall break in October. Google led me to Chula Vista Elementary School District. They start school in mid July. Most districts start in mid to late August. Many still don't start until after Labor Day. I think Sacto (>400 mi from DLR) might also have a fall break.

I'm from Nor Cal and we have our fall break the 1st full week of October. This year its 10/2-10/6, next year it will be 10/7-10/11.

Personally, if I had any alternative time I could go, I would choose it. October is massively crowded. October long weekend would be even worse IMO.

It is busy so I would definitely rope drop in the morning. It is still warm in Anaheim (high 80's) so t-shirt and shorts.
