I thought there was a thread with hotel reviews once (a long while back) but I cant find it :(

Our normal hotel (Park Place) is full so we have to decide between:

Best Western Aneheim Inn
Tropicana
Candy Cane Inn

Any reviews?
I need close walking, and CC made the list due to the shuttle. Also need the normal, clean, safe, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!!!!

We were in the Camelot for one night and I thought it was just fine. The room was clean, I especially examined the bathroom for cleanliness (a pet peeve of mine), and it was very clean. It's hard to beat the Camelot for walking distance, the breakfast was simple but acceptable (croissants, donuts, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit), you could see the fireworks from the pool, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I thought the room might be a little small for a family bigger than our (two adults, one 4 year old). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a return trip. Based on our one night stay, I would recommend it.

One note, we almost booked into the Carousel, but found out that their pool area is under renovations, so keep that in mind if you are looking at hotels.

This isn't on your list but we just stayed at Park Vue and loved it. The rooms are on the small size but the staff and amenities were great. They had a personalized note with a fruit and wine basket in our room when we arrived. They do a social hour from 5 - 7 with snacks (it was soup, salad, nachos, etc on the night we were there). Then there is a hot breakfast (eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc) plus the regular cereal, bagel, donuts, etc in the morning.

We have stayed there for 4 years in a row now and the services just keep getting better each year. :thumbsup2

From your list, I'd go with CCI, it's the same amount of walking as the HoJo but it's got the free shuttle. We really liked the shuttle a lot, we also liked the room. It was a bit on the small side but we dealt with it just fine. Bfast was very good, staff was great, grounds were clean and maintained.

We stayed at the Tropicana earlier this month. It was okay. One day DM and DD went back to the room around 2 and it hadn't been cleaned yet. Since they were still there when housekeeping came by, so we just got clean towels, no service. The next day it was done early. The room was small for the 4 of us (DM, DD(17), DS(9), and myself), smaller than we remembered, but we were on the other side the last time back in 2002 and DM only had two in her room and I only had 3. I doubt if we will go back to the Tropicana again, mostly because we will look into a suite, not because there was anything terrible of the Tropicana
