Good Neighbor Hotel Package Through Disney

I'm sorry if this has been asked before and/or is a dumb question, but if you book a good neighbor hotel package through Disney can you still pay for the trip/hotel with a Disney Gift Card? My husband & I are looking to go out there within the next year or two and I wanted to start slowly saving and buying Disney gift cards just ensures I won't spend the cash (plus the extra 5% at Target helps save a little more). Since the hotel isn't owned by Disney I wasn't sure if that is something I could do or not.

Also, what's the better way to go in general, booking directly with the hotel or going through Disney? TIA

If you’re planning to stay at a good neighbor hotel, I’m betting you can find a better discount than 5% using like Expedia or Orbitz and looking on the discount board here or at Mousesavers for discount codes.

But if you’re set on using Disney gift cards (I get it, we need tricks to save up cash too), you can do it to book good neighbor hotels on the Disney site, yes.

finally, you can use Disney gift cards to book good neighbor hotels via Costco travel. It may be worth the membership price in the money you save, and you can check the price without signing up.

Oh wow didn't realize you could use Disney Gift Cards with Costco Travel. I'll have to check it out, since I'm already a member. Thanks for the tip.

I'm not dead set on using gift cards, I just know if I set aside money I'll tap into it when I don't have cash on me or something like that.

If I’m not mistaken you can only pay with one gift card and maybe it’s at a time but the gift card can only have $1000 on it
