Good neighbor - and restaurant/bar??

Am thinking staying at a GN hotel is the best bet for us. But what about restaurants? Anywhere nearby on Katella or Harbor to get a late night bite after leaving parks.... and also anywhere to get a drink (or two)? After a long day at the parks, like to unwind with a drink and settle down so can actually get to sleep when on vaca! Just wondered if anywhere close by? Or somewhere even to buy beer or wine to take back to hotel?

Looks like there is a Denny's and Ihop? Are they pretty crowded most of the time?

So far top of our list is BWPPI, second choice is PVI... unless anyone can add some recomendations.
We're always at WDW and like that total Disney feel of the resorts... but can't seem to justify the cost difference of DLH (which would be our first onsite choice.) will we be disappointed in a GN with it not having that total Disney feel?

Am also considering, since we always like to do split stays anyway, doing one night of our trip at DLH to experience it. Then it also becomes a question of DLH or PPH???????

There is a convenience store right next door to BWPPI that sells beer and wine.

Marri's Pizza on Katella is open late (until midnight on the weekends IIRC); they have great food & a bar. The restaurant has been there almost as long as Disneyland has. Here's a link: http://marrispizza.com/

We ordered from this restaurant and had it delivered to our room. Very fast and good.

HoJo is very close to Mimi's, great food, inexpensive, has a bar

We like to get a bottle of wine from the little hotel store use a plastic cup and chill in the hot tub....your feet will feel better for it the next day and it is the best way to relax....

Garden Walk is only a few minutes away by walking and there are several restaurants that have bars in them.

The DoubleTree had a good resturaunt and bar.

Our second trip we stayed at the Anabella. Down the street from there was a convenience store with liquor. DH went to get some the first night and some soda, and we kept it in our room. That way, as DD was fall asleep we had a nice night cap!
