Hello and good morning to all from WI,
I am new here and found this site through babycenter.com....My mother and I are going to be bringing my daughter who will then be 7 yrs old and my son who will be 14 months old to DW sometime during our visit to see my sister in Orlando from November 4-14...My sister's boyfriend should be back working at DW by then so we'll get in for rather cheaply...I was considering buying a sit and stand stroller for my kids since my oldest can get lazy and hates walking..what is everyone's opinion on that? part of me thinks we should but then part of me thinks she'll be so excited to be there that she wont need it. And I really don't want to bring more than we need on the plane especially since my sister doesn't have any children and none of her friends do either so it's not like i can just borrow one..Also my sister had mentioned that they usually start the Christmas stuff around that time in November, has anyone been there during the time? what kinda stuff do they do? The last time i was there was back in january 1996, way before i had kids so this time will be a lot different..Anyone have any tips for us? we aren't staying on property at all and will most likely have a hopper pass..we haven't been to animal kingdom so i look forward to that..but if anyone has any tips or advice I'd love to hear it..Thanks Much!

Welcome!

We recommend that you take a look at the various Trip Planning Forums here to find and ask your questions. For instance we have a Family Board where you can look into stroller recommendations.

On our Theme Parks board you can find out about the Christmas plans.

You will find Tips everywhere! Check out the Tips Board, Theme Parks and maybe even our Budget Board.

Enjoy the planning!

I have used the sit N stand stroller at WDW and it worked great. If you think your 7 yr old will need a stroller I would definitely get one. The only thing I don't like about it is the front seat does not recline much. Check out rummage sales and craigslist and you should be able to find one for a good price. Don't worry about taking it on the plane. It is nice to have the stroller in the airport-then just gate check it.

Sorry, I never go during the holidays so I don't know anything about the decorations.

Have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes
