I guess some of you probably spent some time digging out of snow while others in warmer parts might have gone swimming.

Here we went to see people do both. On Saturday we went to the Polar Bear Club dip in Lake Michigan. Talk about crazy people!! When it's around 30 degrees out there's nothing like putting in a swimsuit and jumping into freezing water. :teeth: The rest of the week-end we just sorta hung out. Nothing special.

How about you?

Good morning, and yep, they're crazy. :teeth:

My weekend was alright. :)

Weekend was spent making 2 trips to Walmart. Friday night went there to pick up some groceries.
Had to go back Saturday eve to get some Valentine candy for our DS's and also had to pick up some Valentine cards for DS to take to school. Yesterday was spent hanging out at home. :goodvibes

Spent a polar bear weekend at Disney last weekend, Gawd it was cold

I went to Orlando with my older dd this weekend. We went to a huge city wide garage sale on the East coast in Palm Bay on Sat and we went to Sea World on Sunday. Nice weekend.

Let's see. Friday night was good. Saturday morning and afternoon weren't -bad. Then Saturday night was interesting. I spent most of the evening and night in the ER. I broke my finger. Ouch! Then Sunday I spent most of the day realizing all the things that are diffucult to do with only one good hand. Well, at least I got out of shoveling! :teeth:

Let's just say that I am stuck wearing sweaters to work all week because I can't button up a shirt. And my hair, it's an interesting look. :lmao:

Gee, I wonder if we were at the same ER???? On friday night DH said he had chest pains ( he has a history of atrial fibrillation), but thought it was indigestion?? He's very stubborn, so on sat morning when he still felt the pains I knew it was time to go to the ER.. Low and behold they admitted him on sat night, much to his dismay.. Then on top of everything else we had almost two feet of snow dumped on us.... He made me drive in the blizzard yesterday afternoon to pick him up at he hospital since he begged his dr to have him discharged ( he ended up being fine - they don't really know what caused the chest pains)... Thank god my dd's spent the weekend at my parents house!! Now today's a snow day --- Oh, how I hate snow.

Wow. I went to the Stony Brook ER. There was a man before me having chest pains. If that was you, I hope everything is ok.

The blizzard was really just starting when I went to the ER. I had to walk for about 10 minutes in the cold clutching my finger because the cold wind made the pain horrible. I was released about 5 hours later. I had to find a 24hour pharmacy to pick up some perscriptions. I finally got my medicine then I had to find a place to eat dinner since me and DBF were starving. It was a really interesting drive in the blizzard. It was my first real time in the ER and something I hope to never do again.

morning!
not a great weekend here either--have been sick since tuesday so i have been in bed since then--no college and no work until at LEAST next week--i am not a happy person!

Not a good weekend here. I'm wicked happy about the snow but that wasn't enough to get the other stuff off my mind. Went home Friday night and had to come back to school Saturday, because of the snow. On the way home Friday my mom informed me that my uncle has colon cancer again (they got rid of the prostate cancer though  ) and will have to have more surgery for that. Plus he broke his hip on Thursday, so he had surgery for that on Saturday. Then I got home where my stepdad proceeded to essentially ignore my existence (fairly typical) and my sister did the same (not typical). So yeah, fabulous weekend here :sad2:

No, that wasn't us, we went to the Glen Cove Hospital ER. Going to the ER is an experience - it wasn't our first trip there, hopefully we won't have to go for a looooong time! They didn't give my DH anything to eat for 6 hours so he was starving too, so I had to leave the ER and go to the closest fast food restaurant to get something and bring it back to him. When I got back with Burger King, the nurse had the nerve to ask me why I didn't get him something "healthy"..... Gee, I don't know, it was snowing, he was hungry and not in a good mood, I had to get something fast, and no one in the hospital was willing to give him a "healthy" meal.... Glad it all worked out for you.
