I've never been to Artist Point before, and I've been looking forward to it...but I've heard that there has been some recent changes to the Tillamook mac & cheese? I've read that some people were unhappy with it's replacement. Did you like the new version?
Wolgang Puck Express in the Marketplace at DTD has some really good mac & cheese also. It comes as a dish by itself. However, with the refurb, I'm not sure if they will change their menu or not. Has anyone heard about that?
Many WDW have the same standard mac & cheese for the kids. Stouffer's brand is served at Liberty Tree Tavern during their character dinner meal.
Hands-down, though, is Jiko's. It wouldn't be perfect without the wine reduction that dribbles into it from the oak-grilled filet meal. It is absolutely fantastic!
I hope that WPE doesn't reopen without their mac & cheese! That was probably my favorite mac & cheese on property.
However, the mac & cheese at Jiko is a close runner up. I've ordered that on it's own and it's still fantastic even without the filet & red wine reduction. Yum!
You can order just the mac & cheese from Jiko? I'm a vegetarian and I loooooove mac & cheese, so that would be awesome. Also, has anyone actually tried the mac & cheese from Chefs de France?
The best mac n cheese I've ever had was at Raglan Road! It was delicious! It was a bar snack though, not on the actual menu.
Don't get the mac n cheese at Coral Reef, it's not very nice!
We loved the mac-n-cheese that is served with the pork chops at Artist Point so much that we asked for the recipe (this was 3 years ago, so I don't know if it's the "new" version mentioned by another poster). They had us fill out a form and then they e-mailed it to us about 2 weeks later! We make it for guests/special dinners and it's the dish that people ask us to bring to dinner parties!
Sadly they no longer serve it that way. The pork chops come with fingerling potatoes instead of the M&C. You can get a side order of M&C, but its just not the same as the Tillamook Mac & Cheese they used to serve.
DD has eaten mac and cheese countless times on our many trips and has never had a complaint! The Stouffers at Liberty tree tastes way better than when you make it at home! The only mac and cheese she hated was the one that you can purchase in the gift shops to bring home!
Jiko definitely. But if you just want some mac and cheese and not spend $$$ then WPE at downtown Disney. We like to get an order of that to eat with sandwiches from the Earl of Sandwich. Great meal that we bring back to our room or resort pool.
