We are staying in August at the Disneyland Hotel. I want to have some drinks mainly and a few items of food delivered. Did you have good luck with this, if you used it? How did it work? What if it gets there before I check in? What if something needs to be kept cold?
I used InstaCart when we stayed at the DLH hotel last November. It was easy! The bell hop received it for us and called to let me know it was there. The delivery windows are short enough I picked a time when I knew we'd be close to our room, at the pool or getting food. That way it wouldn't sit out for too long. I have heard that the hotel will keep it stored in a cold area if need be. If you order alcohol you do have to be present to sign for it yourself.
Very good luck this last May. Amazon Prime to Grand Californian. Ordered twice. Easy pickup at bell services each time. The second order we stayed late at the park and didn't pick it up until the next morning. They just hold it in bells services and they have regenerators if necessary for cold items.
I think they are all good and the resort hotels all handle deliveries well. Correct on alcohol: need to be present to sign.
We are recent converts from Vons to PrimeNow and loved PrimeNow for one main reason: the app shows you the driver's location and how many stops away the truck is. Not sure which others have this ability. It's very handy and allows you to enjoy the hotel/room/pool/lounge or even parks. So you are not sitting around for an entire 2 hour window.
One thing to note from memory: Items from Whole Foods are comingled and I'm not sure if those a separate order, or what. We filtered items only for PrimeNow and ordered from those. Maybe someone else knows.
We used Vons (now Pavilions) three times this last trip. Great experience. Chose the one hour window and was given an email link to track the drivers. Super convenient and bell services helped bring everything upstairs once the driver unloaded. We had alcohol in all three of the orders (which is why someone needed to be there to sign) but it never impacted the day because we chose a time we’d likely be back resting or at the pool. Drop off was a 15 minute interruption tops- and DH just popped over to bell service, took groceries upstairs, and came back to the pool. Easy Peasy. Just offering another option.
