Good idea to make ADR

While we were in WDW Dec 17th -Dec24th I saw many people turned away from table service restaurants because they had no tables available for the rest of the evening.While we were at the Crystal Palace there was a man at the door argueing that he had spent a bunch of money on the dining plan and couldn t get in to any table service restaraunts on the property because they were booked.Granted this was during a very crowded week but I think with the dining plan in place I would make ADRs before getting to WDW and finding the restaraunts booked. Burgers and hot dogs are great but wouldn t want to live on them for the whole trip.
