Good Idea? Bad Idea? Opinions?

I'm planning to apply for some PI's for the spring and am working on my resume. After coming up with an initial draft I asked someone to take a look at it, and I was told that it was too much like the resume of every other good student and I should try to look for ways to make myself stand out and more "Disney-ish," but I'm struggling with that. I have a very serious passion for the company, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to make that come across properly in my resume.

One possibility I have come up with is to add a "Disney" section to my resume under my education, experience, etc. In it I can mention things like how I have performed at WDW and wrote my senior thesis about WDW, but I'm not sure if it's really a good idea or not. On one hand, it would hopefully help me to stand out, but I'm worried that it may not be in a good way, as I'm concerned that it may seem unprofessional on some level to include that sort of thing on my resume. So I came here hoping to get opinions and would really appreciate any I can garner. What do you think- is it a good idea? a bad idea? neither?

Instead of starting a new thread, I just updated my question in an old one that didn't receive any responses. So BUMP, and I would very much appreciate any opinions that can be offered. Thanks in advance!

I may be out of touch because it has been a while since I have sent a resume.

When I sent out resumes to companies, I always had a cover letter that accompanied the resume. My resume was an outline of my education and work experience that was uniform to anywhere that I was applying. The cover letter was the document that I could tailor to the company that it was going to. So, if I was sending it to Disney, the cover letter is where I would mentioned the Disney extras.

Again, this may be out of date now with so much being done online.

Right, that was my initial thought- to just include that sort of information in the cover letter, but after doing some research I read that a lot of recruiters for various PI's don't even really look at cover letters. So I'm trying to find a way to make myself stand out within my resume so that I can *hopefully* manage to get an interview. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I would definitely appreciate hearing from others, as well!
