Good Gracious...Can This Site Get Any Slower.

I thought it was just me. It has been extremely slow lately, especially when you want to post or quote someone. Hopefully it will get better soon!

I would suggest ether emailing/PM-ing the webmasters, or maybe politely posting on the Podcast board (they hang out there a lot) to explain the problem.

It isn't that slow for me, but I know that they have been away for the last couple of days and have been doing some more updates recently (including the new nifty search function!)

Also, sometimes, it may not be the webpages fault, sometimes if too many people are refreshing (or even attacking it) too often it can slow down or even make it unavailable!

Hopefully it will sort itself out, otherwise PM a webmaster!

Slow for me too. I thought it was my desk top, but when I switched to my new mini notebook that has a ton of memory and very little stored, it was equally slow. It's not like that on other sites.

I remember back in the day having dial-up and it was much faster than these boards move I'm always afraid it will time out.

Doesn't it mean that they need to buy more bandwidth? I'm unsure, but would like to know.

It has been brutal for some months, progressively getting worse. It has been slow for years, chronically, but of recent it has been And time or day of the week makes no difference, it is slow all days, all times.

I concur Disboard has slowed down ALOT, seems to have gotten worse since the last maint/update the site had. When trying to post its slow enough to bounce btw this site and another. Shawn

I agree - but in my therapy, one of the things I'm working on is a "low tolerance" level - so I'm "forging ahead".. LOL

I thought it was just my computer last night. I was trying to read this board and it was taking forever to load pages. Every other board worked fine.

Yup, same for me. Editing, quoting or regular replying takes quite a longtime for me. Quick reply works great though usually.

Of course, it took awhile just to get to the second page of this thread. That does annoy me...sometimes it take a longtime to go to the next page.

This site has been painfully slow for me for quite some time. The slowness is one of the reasons I'm not here as much. Sometimes I can't even get the site to load. I don't have this problem with any other sites, the slowness only occurs on the DIS.

I was going to comment on this thread last night, but I didn't want to wait for it to open! My computer is very fast & this was the only site going slow for me.
