Good Fare for Aug. flying from Seattle

Just got a good fare from Continental, flying from Seattle to Florida for Aug.
$319 RT, incl taxes! Woohoo! So worth the 3 hr drive and hotel, that lets us leave the car for free.

I'm looking for end of Sept. I hope I can get a good deal like you! I'm off to go check.

I didn't find any good prices for my dates.

What type of flight do you book? I like the red-eye to get to Orlando and then an afternoon/early evening back to Seattle.

That's an awesome fare! What dates are you going in August to get that airfare? We were going to go to WDW in mid August. However, my family vetoed the idea and we're going somewhere else.

I got a early morning flight going down, and a late afternoon 6pm flight coming back. I'm not a fan of red eyes. I don't sleep well, and it takes me a day or 2 to recover from being up 24hrs! Not the way I want to start vacay!

We're leaving 1st week of Aug, flying into Ft. Lauderdale first to spend some time with family & friends, then flying home from Orlando end of month.

Did you go up to Whistler during the holidays? We were there for a week aft. Christmas. Boy was it cold!

Nice to have family in Florida - I can see many perks in that!!! Wow, that's a nice long holiday, enough time to truly relax and have some fun.

We did go to Whistler Dec. 17-23. It was bone-chilling cold too, heavy snow on the day we left. But the skiing was awesome and we also snow shoed for the first time. My only disappointment was we didn't get to go cross-country skiing in the Callaghan Valley.

We did go Cross Country, but not to Callaghan either. We went to Nicolas North, and Green Lake. It was beautiful.

Yes, one of my daughters & I will be in Florida for a month in Aug. Hubbie staying home with the dog, he hates Florida in August
Last time we went for a month we moved around a bit, and went to Key West, and then Cocoa Beach, before hitting WDW.

I love the red-eye. I don't sleep much anyway and I'd rather arrive early in the day so I can get to bed early and then get up early. We don't go to a park or anything. Hang out at the resort, swim.

In 2008 we did the stay at a motel and then fly in the early am. By the time we arrive at Pop it was dinner time and then I couldn't sleep as we hadn't done a thing.

We got a great deal for the end of August as well. We got $337/person including taxes from Calgary! Our preferred airport is Edmonton but Calgary is only 4 1/2 hours from us so it's not that bad (the price difference btwn Edmonton and Calgary was over $100/person!).

Our departure flight is at 2pm getting there at 11pm which means my DD 17mths at the time will be able to have a nap before going which should make my fellow travelers happy! Our return flight leaves at 3:30pm.

Wow! That's a really great deal from a Canadian Airport. I've given up trying to fly out of YVR! Maybe I should have checked!

Maybe I'd feel differently if we flew directly to WDW, but we go to Ft. Lauderdale first, so don't feel the need to get in early Hope you find a good fare.

just checked fares from YVR, nothing under $595 RT So it's still Seattle for me.
