Good FANTASMIC News! But still no Dragon!

Yay! :yay: Yay! :yay: Yay!:yay: Yay!:yay:

Can you tell I am excited that we will get to see it on our Oct. trip?! :thumbsup2:cool1::banana::cheer2:

I really want to see Fantasmic when we are there next month. My son, who just turned 6, is afraid of stuff--doesn't like the dragon in the Disney Princess Ice show, etc. How "scary" is Fantasmic without the dragon. Just trying to see if it would even be worth it to try to stake out a place, etc. if he would not enjoy it.

Thanks!

Maleficent appears on a high pedestal where Murphy the Dragon usually appears.

Is your son afraid of loud noises? Because the sound system is quite loud, and a cannon from the Columbia boat fires midway through the show.

The work to be done to the Rivers of Amer will take place all of Jan and most of Feb...so shortly after the New Year, the Mark Tawain, The Columbia and Fantasmic will NOT be running for this period...its been noted on most re-furb lists for 2010...

Just read this update on another board:

Disneyland's Summer Nightastic! promotion ended yesterday, but the real star of the show may be making their debut this week. After months of delays, testing and repeated mechanical setbacks, new, improved and overdue Fantasmic! dragon is expected to premiere this week.

so i was potentially just one week early? :headache: That would stink! But I do hope it appears for the lucky others who will be there!

I just read something over at Mouse Planet, and they indicated that they got word that the Dragon will be making his appearance within a week. Wonder if it's true? I'm just glad we'll get to see Fantasmic! and Magical fireworks show during the time of the Expo. What with so many things in refurb during that time.
