I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question... so feel free to right me if I'm wrong!

Just booked a super last-minute trip to the World-- just two adults. We'd like to eat at a restaurant in Epcot, then watch Illuminations. Any spots you guys recommend?

Please include those that require ADRs (never hurts to try) and those walk-ups (trying to stay realistic).

I've heard of something at the Mexico Pavilion, but isn't that closed right now? Also something in the UK? But isn't there a trick or something to that? Also-- a Japan restaurant? Maybe on the 2nd floor?

Any recommendations or tips??

Rose & Crown is our favorite place to dine for Illuminations. Tough to get an ADR for Illumination. Try walk up or book early save your receipt and you can go back for viewing. Last time we ate indoors, went out to see the show then returned for desert. It was July hot and humid and I enjoyed eating indoors. Love the fish & chips myself.

I AGREE!!!!!! BEST SPOT OF ALL:wizard:

I disagree, requested a table with view but none. Told server will come get us to view outdoors, she never did, when I asked her "Oh yea go now" When I got out there it was more crowded then anywhere else! Would have been a better view anywhere but the patio!

The only place you can see a good view is Rose and Crown.BUT they may or may not allow you to wait for seating to dine on the patio.( when we went they said we couldn't wait for a patio seat but we were invited to step outisde to see it).The mexican cantina also had good seating, but is closed and when it re-opens it will be a CS by day and a TS place by night. You will need adrs for pretty much most places .

Rose & Crown, assuming you want to watch Illuminations from the restaurant. If you want to walk out after eating and find a spot around the lagoon to watch, you can eat most anywhere, as long as you give yourself enough time to eat, get out of the restaurant, and stake out a spot.

You could get a view from Tokyo Dining or Bistro de Paris but you'd have to have a window table to see much. There are not many, and they're not guaranteed. The outdoor Mexico restaurant, as noted, is closed.
