Good deals on Luggage sets?

I was thinking of getting dd an early graduation gift of a luggage set so she could use on our trip. Any good deals? What sizes do you think a 17 yo would use in the next few years?

Check out Kohls. They often have a buy one get one and the you can use your % off as well! I would get her a carry on size and a full size!

My mother in law bought my kids really nice American Tourister sets from Sears for their birthdays this year. She got 3 piece sets with a boarding bag, carry-on and full size for around $65 a set.

I also like checking out the luggage sections at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and Ross.

I agree with checking Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Ross. I just bought my DD14 a suitcase for Christmas that was marked down to $29. It is bigger than a carryon and has a cute pattern. They had many marked down (I got hers at Marshalls)

I agree tj maxx always has a big selection. And check Black Friday and cyber Monday. Usually good deals on luggage sets at jcpenny/macys and big name stores

All the replies are good suggestions. It just depends whether you want to buy something that will offer good service for years, or for a lifetime.

At least look at your local luggage specialty store for an idea of price and options.

DW and I decided to bite the bullet and buy the best hard sided Delsey luggage and plan on keeping them forever. 30 years later, hundreds of flights and a handful or cruises later, they are going strong and will out last us.

But I realize, some people consider luggage a fashion accessory and are looking less for durability and more for style.
We are more the buy the best and keep forever mindset on everything, which explains why our family car just turned 26 years old.
