Priceline.com just accepted my offer of $25/ day for rental car. SOOOOO
I got a rental for the week through AVIS for $167, taxes included. Is this a good deal? Has anyone used AVIS before..good/ bad???

2 months tomorrow and we are on our way. I am so excited. I can't wait to see my 9 yr old's face. This is her first big vacation EVER!

Economy....4 door. There are just the 3 of us, 2 adults and one child. As long as it gets us from point A to B ...we are happy! Now if I could just get us those theme park tickets at a discount....:confused3

You can, if you sign up for the mousesavers newsletter you will get a link to the special mousesavers prices at undercover tourist. We used them for our tickets in Dec, and they were very quick and have free shipping. I will send you a private message with more info (not sure if you will be able to respond since you are a new poster.)

Good deal with the rental car!

We are two adults too, but we like to carry an extra suitcase of snacks going down and filling it up with souvenirs coming back. I had problems with a full size car last time because three suitcases wouldn't fit in the trunk! Eventually, I was able to fit three into an Impala. Three suitcases wouldn't even fit inside a Grand Prix. The backseat works, but I felt uneasy leaving a suitcase in open view when we do our outlet mall shopping before we fly back to Canada.

You can also try code KISS2 at Dollar rentals. We booked a full size car for 3 days at 24.99 per day using that code. An economy car was cheaper again....$21 per day I think. We are renting in early May.

How do you use that KISS2 code? I couldn't find a place to enter it on Dollar's web site. I punched in my dates starting on May 7th and an intermediate rental rings up at $61 USD + taxes!!

Thanks!

At the top click on specials and it will come up with a place to put it in!

So how does priceline work??

Priceline works by submitting your travel and credit card info as well as the price you are willing to pay. If your offer is selected they will charge your credit card..if not you try again later and you are not billed anything.
I had gotten really good deals from dollar and eagle but really wanted a rental car Inside the terminal. So I think I got a pretty good deal. All in all, with everything I learned on this site and by searching the net I got our trip to Disney for $1800 for 3 of us(not including spending $$$). I think this is fair. That is our airfare, car rental, condo rental, hotel in Detroit for park and fly as well as out 2 days in Disney, 1 day each in Seaworld and Universal. We also alotted a budget for groceries and dining out and are hoping to have 1 special theme dinner with Shamu at Seaworld. Our breakfasts will be at the condo and at least 2 dinners as well. So crossing my fingers that not too much unexpected comes up. My hubby is so proud of the wheeling and dealing I have done!:thumbsup2
