Not sure if this has been posted but I just got an email about rates starting at $99 for Swan/Dolphin from 8/28-9/9. Use the code LABOR - you also get one complimentary room upgrade and a late 4pm checkout

I just tried this online to see if it came up and it wont come up. You may have to use it on the phone?

Thank you for sharing this info. That is a fantastic rate!

I just tried using LABOR via the phone, and was told that the rate is not available at either the Swan or the Dolphin for August 28-30. I was told the rate is not even showing in the system.

WDWStar, where'd you find that AP rate for the rest of the year for the Swan? Every time I've tried to put in dates for October on the Swan site, even using the AP discount, it still comes up at $264. If your price is for real, that would be awesome!

Thanks for posting that -- we were previously booked on the recipe card rate for September 4-8 but I just changed it to the $99 rate. The CM said that the phone had been ringing off the hook all morning about that rate.

Thanks again - you made my morning!

Lauren (aka Joshua 4)

i received it today in my via email this morning, if you email me or if i can email you, i will fordward the email from the swan/dolphin.

i had called last week for a rate and the cm asked me for my email address, i think thats why they sent me email because i never called back to book a ressies.
but your welcome for the forward email:)

I called back and told them I received an email (which when I checked my bulk mail, I actually did!), and got the $99 rate for August 28-30 - woo hoo!

Also put a hold on our Christmas dates for $139. Going to check with the hubby as we have Pop Century ressies at the DC rate of $69 checking in 12/19. What to do?

I got the email last night and posted it asap. Glad some are able to take advantage of it!

Thanks for the heads up! I checked my e-mail and sure enough .. there it was. I was able to get the AP rate for 12/28-1/3/04 for $139.00 plus tax at the Swan!

I really appreciate you posting as I would have overlooked this e-mail until later day.

Thanks!

Thanks Diane and all of the rest of you wonderful Swan & Dolphin fans!

My wife and I ( :earsgirl: :earsboy: ) are going to Disneyworld for part 2 of our honeymoon at the Swan hotel! :bounce:

I must confess I was a Disney Resort only kind of guy in the past but after reading all the Swan and Dolphin messages here and looking at the deals available I decided it is the BEST way to go.

I originally signed up using the RECIPE CLUB deal and was as happy as tigger in a bathtub full of pixiedust and then THIS deal came along so I did a little modification to our plan and added another day.

We'll be staying using the LABOR deal from Sept. 6-10 and then using the RECIPE CLUB deal for the remainder, Sept. 10-15.

THANKS DISBOARDS!

First, apologies in advance, because I'm sure the answers to my questions are addressed somewhere else on these boards, but the S/D faq is so long, I can't brave it right now!

I too got the email about the AP rates for S/D. They look very tempting, esp. because there are no AP rates out for WDW-owned resorts for the beg. of December, which is when we're going.

A couple of questions:

1) If we book with the Swan (that's where the heavenly beds are, right?), and later the AP rates come out for the other resorts and we decide to switch our reservation, will they just transfer over the deposit, etc.? or are these 2 separate operations? or will we lose the deposit on the Swan? [Yes, I'm confused! ]

2) The beautiful photo in the email is of a redesigned room at the Swan, correct? Do they all look like this? I ask because I've seen lots of S/D pix on wdwig and the non-redesigned rooms don't look that attractive to me (just MHO), but the pix of the new rooms ... well, they're gorgeous.

3) I gather that the bus transport at the S/D is not that great, altho not a problem for Epcot and MGM. Which leads me to wonder: Is it possible/desirable to stay at the S/D without a car? We never rent a car at WDW and have always been pleased with the WDW Transport system.

Thanks for bearing with me! I can't believe I'm obsessing over a trip that's 4 months away! ACKKKK! :p

--miffy--

Miffy>> We stayed the end of June and the first queen/queen picture looks exactly like our room. The Swan is totally renovated so it is my understanding that all the rooms have been finished with new furniture/heavenly beds/decorating.

We stayed for the first time without a car and it was our most relaxing trip to Disney we've ever had! The only time we waited was during E night at MK. I knew better and should have insisted we have a snack on main street before we got in that line, but we didn't, c'est la vie. We loved having the boats for Epcot and MGM. We used buses for everything else and except for our late night MK we never had a problem with getting a seat. The Swan is the first pick up of the five resorts in the area so going is always easy!

Have a great trip everyone!
Debbie

To get any of the special S/D rates being mentioned here, you need to book directly with the Swan or Dolphin (same reservation #). Since this is separate from CRO, the deposit can't be "tansferred over". But, it's very easy to get your deposit back from S/D. Their cancellation policy has been 5 days before arrival.

I had a reservation at the ASM for October and decided to go with the AP rate at the Swan instead. The two operations are not connected. I had to cancel my reservation for ASM by calling Disney. They will be sending me a refund. I had to call the Swan to make the reservation there. I put the deposit on my CC and they are sending me a confirmation so that I can pay the remainder. It was no big deal.

I was booked at CSR fro Thanksgiving. I just moved over to the Swan for the $139+ tax (+$10 per night resort fee).

It's an extra $45.75 per night but we'll have 2 Q beds (we're 2A and 2C), a lakeview room and be within walking distance of my fav park - EPCOT! We have Thanksgiving dinner ressie at Cape May so we'll be able to walk to dinner too. Yippee!
