Good Deal at Royal Plaza

Thought this looked like a great deal at the Hotel Royal Plaza for those of you not doing free dining... it is from travelzoo's top 20 today so is open to anyone

My darling sister and her husband went thru them and booked at best western in lake buena vista and first of all the flight had a change of planes and that turned into to 9 hour (yes 9 hours) layover... so missed all the first day.. got into hotel at 3:30 AM and the room was a nightmare just filthy so she as for another one and the ceiling tiles were hanging down so they went on to bed and the next morning she went to the desk and they told her" you stayed in there last night so nothing we can do now" she was furious but they did not change her room again.... they there 4 nights and was horrible. she said the lobby all redone and halls looked great but the two rooms they in were awful. once you add the daily fee for that area your not saving nothing and was cost to park if had a car they didn't. was to take hotel shuttle but was not one when they got in airport so had to pay for one on their own. we all had stayed over there when it was travel Lodge and was really nice place. not any more. she said will be last time she stays off property. that land is leased from Disney to those hotels so you contact Disney as they want them operated well as people associate them with Disney. to me better off to stay on property and use discounts on rooms or get free dining and use bus transportation to and from airport and while there from Disney. just my opinion:surfweb:

What does this post have to do with the Royal Plaza? Is it BookIt that is the focus of the complaint?

We have stayed there through Priceline, no problems. A nice place.

I am not sure what canopynut66 was refering to either...since she was talking about a different hotel....Royal Plaza is fine we have stayed there for 1 or 2 nighters a couple of times....but then again we had a couple of nice short stays at the Best Western there on Hotel Plaza Blvd too.....but this offer I posted for for the Royal Plaza and had nothing to do with air transportation or the Best Western.

That's a great deal..Free upgrade, free breakfast and NO RESORT FEE!! Now if I don't get a PIN code soon I know where I'll be staying

Just got a pin code but not sure how to use it. I know I have to call but do I tell them the hotel I want to stay in ? we are fl residents so wondering which would give a better discount. If I get a good discount I wont stay off site which will be a first!

I'm jealous!!!! Depending on when you are planning on going to Disney you may have trouble using your PIN code. You call Disney and tell them you have a PIN code and the dates and resort you would like to stay at. They tell you whether there is availability at that resort. They may be able to tell you which resorts have availability. Remember though, its only availability with your pIN code. If the CM tells you no availability with your pin that doesn't mean the resort is sold out, just that your discount isn't available.
