Good days to go to Kennedy Space Center?

Just curious if there are better day (less crowded) than others to go visit Kennedy Space Center. I haven't been since I was a kid and dh has never been, so he is REALLY excited to go! Any tips would be appreciated!

Also, do you think 5 year old boys would be bored or would they "get" it?

My five year old son loved KSC last winter. He is interested in space and enjoyed anything to do with rockets and the space shuttle. I think it depends on the child, but five is definitely not too young to enjoy KSC.

We were there on a Monday and a Tuesday and it wasn't particularly busy either day. Took us the two days because we took it slowly with our 2 1/2 year old.
