We are going in January with a 2 year old and a will be one on the trip. Are these good dining choices with those ages? We are on the DxDDP.

Narcoossee's
Grand Floridian Cafe (breakfast)
50's Prime Time Cafe (Lunch)
Sci-Fi Cafe (Dinner)
Coral Reef (lunch)
Biergarten (dinner)
Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House
Jiko
The Crystal Palace (lunch)
CRT(dinner)
O'hana (breakfast)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch)
Kona Cafe (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Akershoes (lunch)
Le Cellier (dinner)
Boma (breakfast)

I know the character ones will be good but not sure about Narcoossee's and Jiko. Was thinking of maybe switching to HDDR one night? any suggestions?:confused3

For the most part I think you have some very good choices. I might think twice about about a 2 year old in the signature restaraunts (Jiko & Narcoosee's.) Dinner at the signatures is typically a 2+ hr affair, is your child capable of getting through a dinner that lasts this long? (Oh and you do know that the signatures are 2TS credits, right?)

In 2006, we did take our not yet 3 year old to Jiko, but when he lost patience with the meal, we took turns (me, DH & FIL) removing him from the restraunt, walking around outside, the lobby, the pool, etc. Not, the best way to really enjoy these restaraunts, but we made the choice to try to bring him there, and did what we had to do. When we was younger we tried to schedule all restaraunt meals for times when we were pretty sure that he would not be tired or cranky.

That being said, children are welcome in the signature restaraunts. Last trip we took our not quite 5 year old to Narcoosee's & he did just fine, as we go out to eat on a regular basis & knows what behaviors are appropriate. :goodvibes

If it were me.... I think I might try to get HDD for one night, and get an in room sitter for the other, to have a nice quiet parents' night night out at one of the signature places. :) Have a great trip.

I agree with the PP - that's a lot of sitting for a two year old and a one year old - especially at the signatures.

Narcoossee's - Replace with HDDR?
Grand Floridian Cafe (breakfast)
50's Prime Time Cafe (Lunch)
Sci-Fi Cafe (Dinner)
Coral Reef (lunch)
Biergarten (dinner)
Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House
Jiko - either go alone (getting a sitter) or replace with Boma Dinner
The Crystal Palace (lunch)
CRT(dinner)
O'hana (breakfast)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch)
Kona Cafe (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Akershoes (lunch)
Le Cellier (dinner)
Boma (breakfast)

As a mom, you already know to prepare to be flexible, you may need to cancel some of your ADR's and substitute with CS choices. (Word on the street is that so long as 55% of your meals are TS - you'll at least break even with the DxDDP - it's not math that I've done myself though)

Thank you!

I was thinking that but I was not sure. It helps getting others advise since they have done it before. This is our first trip on dining plan and with the kids so all the restaurants are new to us. We will be switching!
