We have a buffet called Ryan's where I live, they offer a great buffet that even includes a grill with steaks and porkchops, it is very reasonably priced too, here it is like 6.00 per adult for luch and kids are charged by their age at like 45 cents per year. Three and under are free. There used to be one in Orlando, does anyone know if it is still there? They have a website and I am not finding it, but I know it was there 2 years ago.

Can someone tell me we will be picking up brother in law on Wednesday night Sept 15 at 8 45pm. from the Orlando airport. We would like to have dinner after we pick him up. Is there a Sweet Tomato close to the airport. If so could someone tell me the hours. Maybe we will just have to try on Thursday night after spending the day at MGM.

Another thumbs up for Sweet Tomatoes! I love love love them.

My kids eat off the same buffet. They usually don't eat much off the salad line, but they make up for it in the heated pasta (mac n cheese), pizza, and the fish!

Cici's..........If you go to their website, www.cicispizza.com, it will give you a store locator. Lunch for adult is $3.99, child 10 and under (I think) $ 2.29 and drinks are $1.19 all day.

Sweet Tomatoes.........lunch for adult $6.99, ages 6-12 $4.49, ages 3-5 $1.49 and under 3 free. That is hard to beat for healthy food.

Does anyone know what the restaurant tax is in Orlando?? Hotel can be 11.5% or 12%, right?? I think one of the restaurants told me their tax is 7%. Is that correct??



edited to add: Cici's probably doesn't charge for 2 and under.......I didn't ask because I have a 4 yr. old. If I knew I was going to report to these fine boards, I would have asked. Sorry.

I am a big fan of Golden Corral as well. They Built a new one last year on the same road as the Crossing's by Bahama Breeze.

Being from New York I find that the pizza and bagels aren't that good in Florida, but there is a little Bagel place just past the Crossing's called Manhattan Bagels which has really good bagels. We usually go there for a cheap breakfast than hit the parks.

We have visited the Golden Corral location mentioned by nydisney14 twice and both times left angry because of rude employees, poor management, and in the first case, problems with the food.

I was never able to get a hamburger from the grill that did not have very pink meat on the first visit in spite of several efforts and a discussion with a manager. I was so angry about poor customer service that I wrote a letter to the home office. They sent me a $10 certificate, so I decided to give them another chance.

On our second visit, just using the certificate at the cash register caused rude treatment and it didn't get any better when I ask to see a manager. The waitress, I must say, saw the whole commotion and was more than nice to us to try to make up for it. I doubt I'll ever go back there, though they do have a lot of food for a decent price.

My almost vegetarian DD18 LOVES Sweet Tomatoes, though the rest of the family is less excited about it. If you don't care for pasta, there aren't a lot of main dishes to select from. Everything is good quality and the service is always good at the location near the Belz Mall.

Is Bahama Breeze expensive? I have never been and was wondering what kind of food they have and is it appropriate for kids? I have $60 in Darden giftcards and can use them at BB, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones or Red Lobster. So far we are leaning towards RL, but I am unfamiliar with BB, any comments would be helpful.

I have a Bahama Breeze near me. The last time we went as a family (2 Adults, 2 kids) the kids got two kids meals, and two smoothies (extra cost). We wound up getting two entrees, and water. With tip and all the bill was $57.xx

The service is always excellent there, and the prices are pretty fair. The atmosphere is very nice also.

The food is semi-Carribbean. They have wonderful appetizers, and the entrees are chicken, meat and fish based. I've gotten the Jerk chicken and its been very good. I've gotten fish entrees as well, and it was fanstastic.
