I'm looking for advice on a good digital camera that takes indoor/low light pics without bubbles in them. lol My current camera leaves these bubbles in my indoor pics and I can't stand it anymore. I'm looking in the $200 - $300 range and prefer something extremely portable. I use the camera at goat shows, so I can't pack around a big camera with multiple lens.

Thanks in advance,
Karen

You should check out the photography board. They have alot of threads on the same question basically. I have a Panasonic Lumix FH-20 and, I love it.

We have two Canons and absolutely love them. One is a Point and Shoot and the other is little more advanced. Both take super great photos.

Besides the PHotography board, you could check out Amazon.com and look at various cameras and the reviews on them. Other are willing to share photos they've taken with their cameras. It's what sold me on my Canon. :)

I bought the Panasonic Lumix ZS3 in January. I love it. I have a DSLR, but there are times it is inconvenient to carry. I bought this as a second camera, and honestly haven't even picked up the DSLR since it arrived.

I know there is a newer model in the Lumix line on the market now, mine is last year's model. But I bought it because it was out long enough that the price went down considerably.

I bought a Canon S90 specifically because of its low light capabilities. I've been very pleased with it in the ~6 months I've had it.

It's nice and small to fit in my purse, and if I were smart enough to use all the manual features, it has those too! But mostly I just leave it in automatic modes and fire away.

I want to second the suggestion of going over to the photography board. I'm no expert, but I'm wondering if there isn't something you could do to make your pictures turn out better short of buying a new camera. If it is only happening on indoor shots, that makes me think that it is not a camera problem, but an operator problem. If you post what you are doing along with a picture showing the problem you are having, you may get some good suggestions that mean you don't have to buy a new camera. Unless of course you just want a new one. ;)

My last two camera's have been Canon's and have been great. I got a fairly inexpensive one a little over a year ago and it takes really good indoor and low light pictures. I rarely use the flash indoors since it takes such good photos without it. These inexpesive cameras have so many features that most people will never even use.

I have to say that Canon's service was good too. I dropped my camera and I'm pretty sure I was at fault for the damage. It was still in the warranty and they fixed it without charge and I had it back so quickly I didn't even notice it was gone.

One brand I would suggest against is Kodak. My parents and bf have Kodak's. They take okay pictures, but just not the quality that my Canon does. My bf actually has a bit more expensive Kodak with lots of bells and whistles and we hardly ever use it because my cheap little Canon is so much more convienient and the pictures are much clearer and crisper.

I love my Canon A710 IS. It takes 2 AA batteries. I bought an Energizer Charger and one pkg of 4AA rechargables and I haven't run out at the parks yet. It takes good video as I tape the shows. I think I have about 17 G of memory cards-I didn't want to run out and have to pay the high prices at Disney.

I got a Sony DSC W290 for Christmas and I love it. It's so small and light and it has a huge screen on the back. The shutter speed is much faster than my old Kodak digital too.

I don't have a camera suggestion for you, but i am also looking for a new camera. Looking for a small point and shoot for disney and I'm looking at sony or nikons.

But a funny side note about the "bubbles", I have had them show up only once and that was at my brother's wedding. Everyone said it was our dad showing his presence at the wedding as he passed away 5 years prior.

You say goat shows? I take it there is a lot of dirt and dust flying around? More then likely those 'bubbles' are dust motes lit up by the flash. A new camera won't fix that issue.

I've heard great things about the Canon S90 mentioned but again if your shooting circumstances remain the same so will your pics.
