good buddy lost everything to "You Know Who"

Something to think about...are larger trade windows really the answer? All I can see is just more items someone will scam from others. I said this in another thread but I think alot of scams could be prevented if you would take the time to check the trade each time before saying ok so you know what is there for sure. As well as looking for the red flag warnings. They are there. If your gut tells you something is up then it is probably right...if it seems to good to be true, well it probably is. I see so many things here about people being scammed but some had taken that little extra time and thought they might not have been. I know lots of this has been said before but it seems to always need to be repeated a ton. LOL Maybe it needs to be said in the trade rooms as well. I'm glad those of you that are catching this person in the act are able to warn others so they aren't scammed. Obviously you warn them, then they can warn friends and their friends can do the same and so on. Word gets around and hopefully that will be a big help to watch for this loser.

sometimes that is the case, other cases the person has something you really want and just wants to trade it in the last window because it is of high value. Inferno or stitch... If someone wants it bad enough their judgement is often blurred. So if the window didnt have a limit, all of the scams done by the person we are talking about wouldnt have happened.

He really isnt that good a scammer you know, he just relys on the fact that the window only holds 15 items and that someone really wants a stitch hat

In Jeffcat's case, you add the fact there was a level of trust in the reputation of the person becasue of this board. Now his scams (without that level of trust) are really quite weak when you think about it.

Wait.. so all the stuff he is scamming of people is probably for his inferno offer?

Yep. ::yes::

He's had Inferno. In fact, he's had 5 star Inferno. All he does is scam people. I think it's the only way he has fun.

no. I mean, he has a inferno offer room going. And why would be be scamming people for anything else?

Because he is a dirty rotten thief who derives pleasure at taking virtual items with no real value. He probably thinks to himself in the morning:
"How can I best ruin somebody's VMK life today?"
And I hope he doesn't STILL have an inferno offer going. He should be locked up and should never be released to cause pain and suffering to people in VMK.
I can handle a loss of a few pixels, but imagine kids who worked very hard and long to gain their precious items only to be worked over by this creep. They would be devastated and would probably lose interest in the game. That's why this whole scamming thing is truly horrific, and should NEVER be acceptable EVER!

- sigh -

I cannot belive he is still around. VMK I am sooooo mad at you right now, it's not funny. The rest of us, we make a stupid mistake ONCE and boom, you hit the ban button. This guy has been causing real pain and anguish for months, and he runs free.

What gives? What does he have on you?

This is the bit of the story that angers me. We always hear about unfair bans, wrongful bans. Then this bloke comes along, and scams people multiple times. And is reported multiple times.

If guest1541345 can report you for "not being nice" in Pirates, and VMK takes it seriously, why can't we report this dude and it be taken seriously?

I have played VMK for more than a year, and I have just become disgusted with the hypocrisies.

I was wondering...maybe we should keep counts of our reports and black hole messages sent and see how long it takes to get him banned? :rotfl:

I just plain can't believe it...I have probably had the least contact with this guy on all of DIS, yet I hate him the same as all the rest of you. To have the nerve to not only scam, but be known for scamming, and still go stealing people's most valuable items? This is just...not right. Being scammed, even if it is small, is an extremely devastating thing. Come on, VMK, we need some consistency!!

They are probably trying to figure out a permanent way to get rid of him

He can easily get around a character ban since he has so many and can create a new one any time he wants.

He can also easily get around and IP ban.

Can anyone who knows this persons other ids please either PM me or email them all to me.

Thank you.
