Ok, we weren't planning on using the DP for breakfast, but may now. So, I have made our ADRs, but now that I am looking into breakfast, the places I wanted are booked..(CM, CP, TH). Would have really liked Tusker House on our AK morning, but booked solid..will keep trying....Here's the thing..I see threads about great breakfasts, because of characters or variations in variety of foods...but those don't come into play for us necessarily. What we are looking for is YUMMY pancakes, bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles and fruit...where are best places to go for this? Would prefer a buffet and are looking for availabilty BEFORE parks open..tried CP for days we will be at MK, but 8:30 is best I could get, which means park will already be open when we get out...CM is booked EVERY morning of our trip and as I already said, TH booked on our AK morning. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Also, would like it to be a buffet IN the park...that way we would already be in the park at rope drop!

You DON'T need a variety of foods, yet you DO want a buffet? Just making sure I'm reading that right.

Boma is a fabulous breakfast buffet, and I believe starts taking reservations at 7AM, so if you're going to AK on a 9AM opening day you should have plenty of time. I've eaten at CM, CP, and 1900 PF and Boma is the only one I've returned to. It's the best breakfast buffet by far in my mind. And no characters means faster exit for you!

Kona Cafe at the Poly is my favorite TS breakfast option. The tonga toast is infamous on this board and has many fans, but the macadamia pineapple pancakes are the real star IMO! If you go here on an MK or Epcot day you can simply take the monorail to the park after breakfast.

LOL yes! we would like a buffet so everyone gets as much as they want of their favorites! Does Boma have regular eggs, pancakes, potatoes and such? I was worried Boma would be too African for us? Just looking for a good Denny's-style breakfast!

AWESOME Buffet. Like 15 dollars for an adult. Waffles, eggs, fruit, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, grits. I really enjoyed it.

+1 although Winnie, you can't tell to many more people. it's a little known gem. ;)

Heard they had good fried chicken! lol However, if their breakfast is good...we would be using DP if we go there..may have extra TS credits...so looking for a good breakfast!

:wizard: For us, Crystal Palace is a must every trip. We were also looking to add another breakfast to our ADRs and booked The Wave. They serve a buffet as well as ala carte and it's located in the Contemporary so we can walk to MK. The reviews have been really good and they have lots of availability....check it out!

Yup. Breakfast isn't too exotic, not at all like dinner! They have regular pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, pastries, you name it. They also have an omelet station where you tell the chef what you want and they'll make it hot and fresh! They have very few adventurous options (off the top of my head the only ones I can think of are the goat cheese & chive scrambled eggs and the bobotie) and they serve delicious coffee and frunch (which sounds exotic but is just a delicious combination of basic fruit juices!). Excellent service and the setting is far more magical than a Dennys would be! :thumbsup2

I would +1 Boma also. It's breakfast buffet is very standard American fare, and good quality. They have just a few of the African-inspired dishes on the breakfast buffet as I recall.

You talked me into it! However, if CP or TH opens up, I may switch, my second purpose of a breakfast ADR was to be IN the park when it opens!

I totally agree that Boma is a terrific place for breakfast. A must do on every trip!

My hubby and I love Kona Cafe....even though it is not a buffet, the portions are filling and the price is reasonable. Plus, you just hop the monorail to MK!

The answer for breakfast is always Boma - it's fabulous! While I would not say it's mostly standard american breakfast fare, there is enough of that sort of thing to please those that want it. :)

For your MK day, you might try 1900 Park Fare at the GF - has an excellent breakfast buffet. For TS, you can't beat the GF Cafe either. And MK is the next monorail stop :)

We love Trail's End! We're looking forward to having breakfast there again on our upcoming trip. Such friendly CMs, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of delicious fresh food.

Er....uh...I meant to say it's a terrible place. Stay away! They have bedbugs there. Or something.

We always ATTEMPT to get a jumpstart on the crowds to try to be one of the first on Dumbo (for some reason, that is the hottest worse line to stand in, even at 9 am), by booking an 8:05 reservation at CP, but it almost always makes us later, because it takes the characters SO LONG to come around. On our trip a couple of months ago, it was like 9:10 when we walked out. We hurried to Dumbo, but the line was already insane, so we ended up skipping it that day. We honestly do better at beating the crowds at all of the parks by getting to the parks before opening and riding some of the rides that will get the biggest waits later in the day- then grabbing a muffin or cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery, Kusafiri, Sunshine Seasons, or Starring Rolls around 10:15 or so.

It may just be my imagination, but it's like the character breakfasts try to make sure that they keep you past opening time!

Boma has an incredible breakfast with a fantastic omelete station and because of it's location, often is not as crowded as other breakfast buffet options.

One other suggestion...the Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful...if possible, give yourself at least a few minutes to sneak a peak at the resort and giraffes!

Kona Cafe is a must .... Kona for breakfast and Ohana for dinner ...sounds like a perfect day to me (drooling thinking about bread pudding YUM)
