Good breakfast without a PS

We have switched out CM breakfast from our day off to a day later in the week when my sister's family will be joiining us. NOw we need a nice, good breakfast that we do not need a PS for. We are going to the MVMCP that night and want to sleep in and just get up when we are ready. We will be at WL. The day is 12/9, a Tuesday so not expecting huge crowds.

Where should we go. Charcters or no character is fine but we are not going into the parks until the MVMCP that night.

How about trying Fresh at the Dolphin!

Spoodle's at the Boardwalk or Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club are good bets. We have been to both several times without a PS. Cape May is with characters.

Can't help much with character bkfsts, and for those a PS is almost a must.
I should add that for the places that I will list, we've never made a PS and have had no trouble getting a table.

Table Service:
Kona, Olivias, Boatwrights, Grand Floridian Cafe, Spoodles

Buffet:
Boma , Maya Grill

All are fine spots and we've been to each (except Spoodles) multiple times.

Since you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge- why not keep it totally easy and eat breakfast at Wispering Canyon Cafe?

My daughter and I ate their twice for breakfast during our Wilderness Lodge stay back in October. Both times without PS and we were seated with in 10 minutes. One was a very leisurely morning after our MNSSHP.

Food (table service) is good and the CMs really are fun to watch as the ham it up with you and others. They also do 'horse races' for the kids around the restaurant- cute.

I second the motion in favor of Whispering Canyon. We just walked in at opening (7:30 AM) two weeks ago and were immediately seated, though the WL was supposedly fully booked. There were plenty of tables available when we left at about 8:15 AM. Lots of fun, very enjoyable service, and the food was good, too. It's not quiet, by any means, so folks who need caffeine to get themselves going might want to obtain a cup before heading for breakfast.

At holiday time, there might be a real need for PSs, and I have no idea what the seating situation is at 10 AM on any day (early riser). Maybe you could make the latest possible breakfast PS, so that you could sleep in that morning, then see if you can be seated earlier in case everyone jumps out of bed and is raring to go.

Whispering Canyon has excellent breakfast..but, when we have tried without a ps..it is usually very, very busy.

Fresh at the Dophin is excellent...but with the word getting out...it too may be hard to get into.

You could always call for a ps from your room...when you are getting ready to go..that way you don't go to any place that doesn't have room for you.

We had though of the WCC but just wanted some other options too as we will eat dinner there at least once. I had forgotten about the GF cafe, that sounds good too. I know nothing about Fresh at the Dolphin, what is that?

We are not new to WDW. but we never sleep in , but thought with MVMCP that night, we would sleep late, then spend the day checking out other resort's Christmas deoractions. I really did not want to be tied to a PS.

Just wanted to say hello and let you know we might see you during your trip. We will also be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and going to the MVMCP on the 9th.

We are also a family of 3 with an 8 year old son. We check into the Wilderness on 12/8 after 3 nights at the All Star Music. This is a surprise to my wife and son, they think we are switching to the Movies for a better A. P. rate. We will be staying at the Lodge until Sunday 12/14. We will have breakfast at the WCC on the 8th (that is how I am getting getting them to the WL without telling them that we are staying there). Hope to see you there and maybe the boys can hang out.

Here's another vote for Spoodles. We tried it for the first time this trip and enjoyed it so much went back a second time. It will be a must do of future trips.

I'll bet your Son would enjoy the Trails End at FW. Just a short boatride away and no PS. They have a great buffet and priced reasonabely. Have fun.
