Good Books?

I liked the way that Stepenie Meyer wrote but yeah the Host just sounded like it was too far fetched.

I have heard that the Harry Potter books are good so i might give those a try.

I have read the Last Song and I absolutly adored it!I also loved a Walk to Remember and Dear John so i absolutly love Nicholas Sparks :) does anyone else no of any of his other books that r good?

Oh and ive read the Kingdom Keepers and loved them! is the 3rd one out?

Oh! Ive heard thats good!

Thanks for the link on House of Night! It looks really good and I think i might try them! :)

Thanks!!! that sounds like a good series! I might give those a try :) would you say that they r better or just as good as the Twilight series?

:)

I liked Twilight series...but I loved/love the Sookie Stackhouse series. As you get into the books there are more creatures than just Vamps/Wares...for example fairies and other creatures from mythology.

I also like the main character Sookie better than Bella...in my opinion she is a more complex and independent character.

In some ways the books are similar...for example in Twilight their is a love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob. A love triangle or two...or three...also develop in the Sookie Stackhouse books, but I won't go into details and spoil it incase you end up reading them :goodvibes

i love nicholas sparks :) i've read:
  • the notebook
  • the wedding (kinda follows on from the notebook)
  • the choice
  • at first sight (im not sure, but i think "true believer" might go before this one)

i also recently read "where the heart is" by Billie Letts. i enjoyed it.

i think its worth it. the book made me cry more than the movie. but if you do read it and watch the movie, keep in mind that they are a bit different.

My reading material is wayyy wayyy different than y'all's :cool2:. I read a lot of Historical Fiction/Christian Romance. If you like historicals, I'd suggest Tracie Peterson's Ladies of Liberty trilogy, and any of Deeanne Gist's books, and Mary Connealy's Lassoed in Texas Trilogy. Deeanne Gist and Mary Connealy are both insanely funny, or at least they are to me :upsidedow.
I like to read funny books, hence my fascination with Archie Comics...oh, and I love Nancy Drew books. They're classic.
When it comes to REAL classics, I'm more of a Louisa May Alcott fan than Jane Austen. I've also read all of the "Anne" books by L.M. Montgomery. Would recommend doing that to anybody, her writing is awesome, and of course, she's hilarious, and her imagery is EPIC.

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
P.S. I Love You
The Kite Runner
Tricks
Breakfast At Tiffany's

Ive heard both of these are good but what r they about?

everyone seems to be saying harry potter but if you liked the twilight series and dear john you must like romance novels. i recomend Skylight confessions by Alice Hoffman (starts out a little weird), Along for the ride by Sarah dessen, Kissed by an angel (i dont know the author), Lock and Key by sarah Dessen. all of them are basically about young love:)

Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind. It's amazing, seriously. It's got action, fantasy, romance, everything. :D
