My husband loves Disney, the history, lesser known facts, behind the scenes and Walt Disney him self. We did watch the recent PBC documentary and he was fascinated by it. He does enjoy books so for Christmas I would like to purchase a book on Disney - not just a travel book but something that might go more in-depth on the history and little know facts or interesting facts about the history, development, and current operation on Disney.

I am sure there are many books out there but wanted some input from those who may have read a good one.

TIA for the help!!

My DH has enjoyed the Imagineering Field Guide series. There is one for each park.

Info from Amazon.com:
The Imagineering Field Guide series answers the question: “What would it be like to walk through a Disney park with an Imagineer by your side?” A lot of fun, actually! And extremely interesting. The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World provides that experience—explaining large concepts and pointing out subtle details, revealing stories, back stories, and Imagineering insights never before heard, and showing sketches, paintings, and schematics used to develop the look of each attraction, condensed into a portable, easily referenced park guide.

My son had to read this for school.
How to Be Like Walt: Capturing the Disney Magic Every Day of Your Life by Pat Williams.
