Opinions are one thing, but to put people down because they stood up for what they believe in is downright insulting.

See thats where my opinion differs from yours, anybody who attacks innocent people, who they know nothing about, who are excercising their constitutional right to peacefully protest for something they feel strongly about and does it behind the relative safety of a fake name on the internet is a coward and it does make their comments lousy. I may have been more interested in understanding their opinion if they had bothered to do a little bit of research and had any idea what the game was about. As it is, I have no interest in anonymous mass bullying and never will. Pixie dust tends to do that to you

Okay, I agree with you that it's lousy to attack others, but do you truly believe it matters whether someone signs those attacks, "LittleCopperPenny1098" or "Tiffany"? Either why it's their opinion, no?

I think it does matter, I have a lot more respect for a person and there opinion that doesnt hide behind a fake name. If you have an opinion about something strongly enough to post it and attack people about their beliefs, have the guts to do it and take credit for it. And like i alluded to before, i find it difficult to take the opinions of anyone who knows nothing about the subject material seriously to begin with

Like I said, above, I agree 1000% in supporting other VMKers.

I guess if I sign this Disney Dreams, Jegrezo, Julie, Susan, Mark, or Steve, it's the same. We all can pretty much assume "Disney Dreams" is not my real name, but if I sign it any other way, could be an alias or might be my real name. No one knows. To me, the name doesn't matter because no one knows if it's real or not.

My opinion is awaiting moderation too.

While I agree that other people can have an opinion that is different to mine, I totally see red when people assume that because I play VMK, that I have any less of a real life than they do.

One other thing I have to say: The comment from "Seamus" was NOT from me. I just wanted to clear that up in case anyone caught a similarity between my username and them. It's not how I spell my name anyways.

i'm kinda torn between both sides of the opinions posted on that blog....as someone who played vmk almost since beta i know what a fun game it is. i always knew it would not last long and frankly it lasted longer than i ever thought a free on line game would. i don't condone the "get a life" comments but i DO understand where they are coming from. some people (and not the majority i believe) really go to the extreme about stating how important the game is and how they would practically cease to exist if it ends. and i am NOT talking about the ppl with disbilities or anything else that offers maybe few outlets for them, that is different.

i always viewed vmk as like your favorite of all t.v. shows coming to an end--you are sad but you accept that a good show, no matter how great and no matter how much you look forward to watching it every week, will not last forever. and when it ends you can be very sad but you accept it and move on to other stuff.

that's how i see it anyhow. again, i DON'T condone name calling and insults, but i DO totally understand where ppl are coming from when they say "get a life".....

Except with a tv show that ended you can always watch the re-runs or buy the DVD. When VMK ends .. that's it .. no more VMK

that's true...unless u have captured some in game videos like i have

well if you go into the game thinking it will end at some point (like i did) then it really does not come as a shock when it does...though part of me is still sad about it nonetheless, the other part is ready to move on
