Good age for Hoop-dee-Doo Revue?

What is a good age for Hoop-dee-Doo Revue? We're thinking of going in May with DD 2.5 since she'll be free (and new 6 month old baby who will just be along for the ride!), but we'd rather wait if she won't get much out of it. What do you think? Is 2.5 a good age, or better to wait?

I can see taking the kids so you can enjoy it for yourself, but I'm not sure how much a 2.5 yo will enjoy/appreciate it. Does she generally do well sitting at a table for a long meal? If so, then you should be fine. We took our kids when they were about 5 and 7 - and again when they were 7 and 9. (DD 9 chose it as her birthday dinner). I think the humor was right up their alley. They thought it was a hoot and got some good belly laughs out of it. We still talk about some of the funny things they did. We'll probably go again some time in a year or so.

I agree that 2 1/2 is young if you are planning it for her. I do think, however, that she will be entertained during dinner and will be willing to sit for longer than a normal restaurant. I also think you will love the entertainment.

My kids have gone since they were infants. They are now 8,12, and 17 and insist that we go every trip. Your 2 year old will enjoy the music, clapping, singing and dancing but will obviously not "get" the humor. They will enjoy it and you will too. If you want to wait until they are old enough to "understand" the humor then I would wait until about age 5 but like I said they will love all the action and fun now.

My daughter was 2 1/2. We sat in the balcony and she loved it! She really loved the twirling napkins! I think being able to see was a big plus, too. And she could eat with her hands and not get into trouble! Except for the strawberry shortcake....
