Good Age for Enchanted Tales for Belle?

DD is three. Is that old enough to be involved and enjoy the show?

Every child is different. I have seen 3 year olds get fully engaged in their part and I've seen 8 year olds sit there shy and not want to participate. Know that it is fun to watch/experience even if she doesn't want to participate. Especially if she is a Belle fan

I'd say yes. Though I agree with PP. kids are invited to play a role in the show, that's what PP meant about participating. If the child doesn't want a roll though, it isn't required. I bet she'll enjoy just watching.

Though I gotta put in my tiny rant. B and B is my least favorite Disney tale. In the real world, people who act like beasts, don't magically transform into kind princes when a nice girl enters their life. Abusers continue to abuse.

Now fiction is fiction, and most Disney tales are clearly fiction. Still, this particular tale seems a bit icky to me.

At 3 1/2 my daughter played the horse (name is eluding me). Her line was "Neigh!" I was amazed that she volunteered and then went up there alone and did what the CM told her to do!

My daughter whent at diferrent ages 3, 4, 5, & 6. She wasn't choosen until she was 5 and 6. So I think you're three year old may get overlooked.

My three (almost four) year old was chosen to play the beast a few days ago. She did a great job and had so much fun dancing with Belle.

Last year when she was not quite three she was chosen to be the Chip and her older sister was Mrs. Potts. They were cute hopping together.

I think that it is great for kids from 2 up to 8 or so. When my daughter turned 9 she developed a lack of interest in participating.

All kids who aren't chosen for a "big" part can still play a spoon or fork & take photos with Belle. If she wants to participate, she will be able to.

Dd was 2.5 when we went and didn't want a part (she didn't really understand). So she sat with us and absolutely loved the little play. When they were marching around the room, Belle came over and paid special attention to my daughter. At the end, the CM asked if she would like to go take a picture with Belle even though she wasn't an official play member. My DD got her picture taken and a bookmark keepsake. It was an unexpected highlight of our trip! She still talks about it.

My just-turned 4 year old DD was super excited to do it last year. The first time she was a little scared (she's afraid of Beast) but after seeing what it was the first time she insisted on doing it again because she wanted to be Chip. She got to be Chip when she did it the second time and did a great job

my newly turned 2 year old was Chip last trip. My oldest was Chip the year before right before she turned 3 (and then she was Beast both times we did it the next year at age 4). They've also had random silverware, pepper shaker, etc parts on other trips.

My barely-4 year old niece was a minor participant (plate or something) and enjoyed it, but was made braver because she had older cousins to go up with her - she's EXTREMELY shy. . her little brother, just 3, did not want to participate at all, but enjoyed the show and got special attention and a photo with Belle after.

Old enough to be able to listen to instructions and participate, but young enough that they find the experience magical.

My son went the day he turned 3.

He was at a stage where he didn't want to go up and participate but he was thoroughly engaged in the show and by the time it was over he went up to get his prize .. and waked up to Belle (with Mom nearby) and then gave Belle a big hug. He looked enraptured by Belle and what just happened! I'll admit a tear was shed in that magical moment. *cough* .. I mean it was really dusty in there .. ya .. that was it.

His (girl) younger and older cousins had no problems being participants and being in the show. They had fun.

They have a role for active participants and inactive participants. I think the show is entertaining even if sitting in the audience.

This is good info to have ahead of time. As noted above, any child who wants to participate can - whether it be a bigger part, like Beast, who is chosen, or a smaller plate for anyone who wants one - like a plate. Those children who participate receive a bookmark and a photo with Belle. Other children sitting in the audience do not (exceptions happen but shouldn't be expected). If you think your daughter would not want to participate, but then be sad to see other children get a photo with Belle - you will want to encourage her to participate. Hope this is helpful.

My son was 2 and got chosen to be the Beast. He loved it! I bawled like a big baby when they danced together. My biggest dream come true as Belle is my favorite lol!

3 is a great age, but she needs to show she is interested. My daughter had just turned 4 last year before the trip and when they called for volunteers she shrank back. They moved right past her seeing she wasn't interested. My son, 5 at the time, on the other hand he was running to the front of the room before they finished pointing at him. He got to play the beast and loved every minute of it!

I'm planning on taking my 2 1/2 year old son. He loves story time at the library, and this is essentially an amped up version of that, we're going to give it a try also, I enjoy ETWB, and my mom who is joining us has never done it before, so I figure it'll be a win regardless.

When we went last June (2015), they did not give a part to everyone who wanted one however they did allow any child who wanted a picture to get one with Belle. They must have changed that.

My DS3 got so into hopping like Chip this time. It was very cute. He was a little unsure about going up to Belle in the play, but he did fine. They did give all people who wanted a part a part when we went in May 2016. There was a group of women in their late teens or early twenties (graduation trip maybe) who all wanted to participate and they gave them silverware cutouts to hold after all the kids got parts.

I volunteered my 2 1/2 year old to be a fork (it was our first time at the attraction and my kids had no idea what to expect). I pretty much carried her and the fork cutout during the "Be Our Guest" song in the parade around the room. She loved it and clapped her hands the whole time. Everyone seemed to be fine with me holding her and we all got a picture with Belle afterwards (us, her two older brothers and dad who was a knight). The picture is beautiful with Lumiere and the fireplace backdrop. Belle gave all three of the kids bookmarks even her brothers didn't have a part. So fun!
