Hi all, dh, dd (9) and I... 1st and maybe only trip to Florida mid-week in mid-May... 2 nights on site at US at the end of our trip. Probably pool time on check-in day, thinking I might get 2 day passes and just go over and get a taste of things that late afternoon/evening, and then spend the whole next day. At first I was think HRH, thinking that would be fun. Then I decided RPR to save some money and because I love the island theme idea. Now I am struck by the cool pools at PB. I know you can pool hop, but we won't be there long enough and probably won't have the energy to do so.

I know they are all deluxe hotels. What is important to me is clean room, ease of getting to the parks, good breakfast (possibly we will be doing room service), fun pool but able to get chairs in early afternoon.

What do you guys think?

RPR. :thumbsup2

Cool relaxing pool, lots of chairs, very easy and quick to the parks.

We had a great time a RPR as well. Going back in three months for three nights. Great rate at under $500 total for all three nights!

for me, rph.

close to the parks and city walk.

large pool, many chairs/loungers around the pool.

4 places on site at the hotel for food.

For my family...PBH all the way.It is furthest from the parks ( and that is NOT that far) and we like that it feels more secluded. The rooms are also the largest onsite, the restuarants phenomenal and my 9 yr old would not get off the pool slide or out of the pool the 4 days we were there

RPR :thumbsup2

Lots of fun without feeling rowdy around the pool area, plenty of loungers even when it`s busy it never feels overcrowded.

The restaurants are all excellent, can`t go wrong with any of them.

But we love the feeling of being home when we are at RPR, it`s such a warm resort to be around. Staff are just wonderful.

What you are looking for is at RPR.....spotlessly clean, short walk to the parks, you will get fantastic breakfasts whether you choose Orchids for self service or Islands either sitting in or getting room service and we have never had trouble finding a lounger....even in July.

We never pool hop anymore.......never feel the need to leave what we have at RP.

Hope you have a fantastic trip wherever you end up :)

Thanks guys! Most of you are reinforcing what I have been feeling... RPR looks great, I need to just quick looking lol... So far all the sale stuff I have seen is through the end of the year... Would love a deal of any sort for May! :)

with hp2 opening next May/June?, book your room prior to the announcement of that event.

if it is anything like when hp first opened, many crowds, less rooms available.

have no idea if any discounts will be abundant or great as hp2 will bring in homies no matter what the cost might be for the hotel stay.

RPR has a great pool, but it was busy in the afternoon, and all the chairs were hogged up. I will add that it was a very hot holiday weekend.

We love the HRH! They each have a different feel. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time know matter where you stay.

Any harm in booking early? I can add discounts later right? (If there are any)

Any of the pins that I've been getting over the past 6 months have stated that its for new bookings only.

I was able to use my pin for an existing reseveration

I was able to modify my reservation for next week when I got the pin last week

interesting... the terms and conditions on the pins that I've been rcv'ing have stated

This offer is non-transferable and does not apply to existing reservations. ^Separate purchase required.

I think what they do is cancel your ressie and book a fresh one with the code

Kinda off topic but anyone know how long it takes for the refund to show on your credit card when you do the cancel?

Aug of 2012 we did Hard Rock and LOVED it. It was super close to the stuff. The pool area was awesome (I wish we had more time there). We booked a AAA package and got a nice deal.
