I have to wonder whether such a system would be operable during Florida's afternoon storms.

I'd rather see PRT; it's flexible and scalable. But the technology is largely untested, and I doubt that corporate Disney has any interest in forwarding future transportation technology, as Walt did.

This makes since they they would add some form of non bus transit to carribean beach with The new DVC going there. I can't wait to see if this comes to pass.

Probably like the system they use now with the boats. The boats shut down in high winds and approaching electrical storms. I've been on the boats twice when they shut down. Once for high winds on Bay Lake, the shuttle boat stopped at the Grand Floridian and I had to go get on the monorail to continue to the Polynesian. The other time I was on the OKW shuttle boat when we had to get off at Saratoga Springs and make our way to Downtown on our own due to an approaching thunderstorm.

I think this is a cool idea, plus with the rumors that it will run from POP/AOA, I'd be riding that sucker all the time. I don't know if it's really feasible or just a pipe dream, but another signature transportation system like the Monorail would be very welcome.
