We are off in Jan, 05 and DH andDS would love to do a round of golf in Orlando. Does anyone have any ideas to get discounts on a round or two. We will be renting a car so, they can go out away from WDW (but not to far).

THanks

Please!!! Anyone with info reply..
I was just getting ready to post a very similar question.

Im planning on playing while there March 14 - March 19.

What time do twilight rates start? I know they were asking like $125.00 per greenfee back in Aug for morning tee times..

I read in a guidebook that the rates drop considerably after 3:00pm tee times. You might call the course directly and confirm this. My DH always gets a cab (free to resort guests) and goes to the driving range every am. He loves hitting a bucket or two of balls and watching the turkeys around the course.

I just re-read my post and wanted to clarify for those who haven't been at a Disney course I was talking about real Wild Turkeys and not golfers.:teeth: Hope I didn't offend anyone.

We are going in April and my DH just made his tee times for two of WDW best courses (The Palm and and Osprey Ridge). Green fees are like $130-$140 each or something like that, but they offered a special if you play 2 of their courses, you get it for around $200-$220 instead of $280.00. I don't remember exactly. And yes, after 3:00, the fees are 1/2 price. So, if you are on a budget, it would be better to go after that time if you are going in the spring/summer months b/c it gets dark later and you would have plenty of time to finish a round of golf before dark. But, I think you said you were going in January, and your DH and DS could probably finish a round of golf before dark since it shouldn't be that busy that time of year.

Best bet is to call the courses and get correct info.

Hope you have a nice trip! :wave2:

My DH and DS have used this service on 3 different trips, each for multiple tee times. They have always been very pleased with their service.

Since you have a car, this is a great way to save $ and still place some very nice courses.

It is half price after 3pm at Disney courses. We played Osprey and Magnolia last year. If you are staying onsite definately play Osprey. It is a great course one of the best in Orlando. Foxfire is also a nice place to play, though not sure about rates.

I think I read somewhere that you get a discount on Disney golf if you are staying on-site. Not sure where I read this. Also, isn't there a discount for AP holders or Visa holders? I read about discounts somewhere but can't remember where.

PS - Check out wdwgolf.com for discounts
