GOLFERS - I really need your help!

I am trying to surprise my husband and 13-year-old son with a round of golf during our trip in October. On the day where it would work into our itinerary the best (I already had everything laid out when I got this wild idea!), the only courses available are Osprey Ridge and LBV. I had looked at LBV, but really wanted to try to get them on Palm. I just thought it would be fun for them to play that course and then watch the PGA a few weeks later and be able to say, "Hey, I've played that course!" I can get tee times for them at the Palm on the second full day of our trip, but it would mean some rearranging of our itinerary. Would it be worth the trouble of making those changes to get them on at the Palm or should I leave them at LBV? I really appreciate any help you can offer! :flower:

I have played all the courses several times in the last 15 years and I think you should Play the Palm if you can. (note: rates after 10 am are discounted) . The Palm is the most beautiful looking course on property and ranks far above the LBV course IMHO. Because of all the Pro ams and tour practice, you may have a problem getting a tee time though. Grab one while you can. Try booking online if you can (Disney web site). Works 24/7 :cool1:

Please use the "search" feature, or go back a few pages, this question gets asked (I know I asked the same question!! :flower: )

I posted this website that is very helpful>>

http://www.wdwgolf.com/

but others that responded talked about asking for a 2 for 1 special in October, they wont tell you about it apparently... anyway, not everyone reads every day, so do a search for more helpful info!! :wizard:

Thanks, Dell, for the reply! I'm really leaning toward the Palm. I called this morning just to see what's available and I can get a 9:00 a.m. tee time. Maybe I should call back for a 10:00 a.m. to get the discount.

eeyore45 - Thanks for the suggestion. I have searched this topic, but just kind of wanted to hear what people had to say about the Palm over LBV. I did ask about the October two-round special; however, the same golfer has to play twice - two golfers can't play for the price of one. As much as I want to make my husband and son happy, I'm not willing to give them up for two rounds of golf! ;)

We just got back and my Dad played both the Palm and the LBV courses. Now that he's played all of them, he said that his favorite is the Palm and least favorite is LBV. Of course, everyone's opinions are different, but that's what he said.

Also, like someone else said, take advantage of the after 10 discount. The courses are much less crowded. In fact, my dad made no advance golf reservations...just called the day before he wanted to golf and got his tee time for something after 10.

I've played all the courses in past and would agree with the Palm being the top of your list. Like you said, they can play and then watch the pro's play later. If you can't get on the Palm then go for Osprey Ridge.
