I didn't see any golf forums, so I figure that I would ask here:

Do any of the resorts offer transportation to golf facilities around WDW?

How close is the nearest golf course to HH?

Don't know about HH but at WDW I think there is transportation provided. DH has always has a rental car or our own car, for that very reason, getting to the golf courses! He loves playing the WDW courses. That's how I get him to go back every year!!

I have always had a car, so I do not know about transportation from the WDW resorts....

As for HH...there are over a dozen courses within 15 minutes from the resort.

There are three courses at palmetto dunes which are right across route 278 (not easily walkable, but less than 5 minutes away).

Sea Pines (which has 3 courses, including Harbortown Golf Links - very expensive, where the PGA plays) is about 15 minutes. I played at Sea Pines (not the Harbourtown course). It was was beautifully maintained and a wonderful round. Just bring bug spray....lots of little nat type bugs that bite...but they leave you alone completely with bug spray. Beautiful courses - all near by. Enjoy!

At WDW, the hotels will provide a cab or courtesy car to course and the pro shop will get you one to go back -- no charge except tip.

At Hilton Head the usual rule is that no matter where you are on the island, you are never more than 1 to 2 miles from a golf course. The Palmetto Dunes courses fit that bill as to Disney's resort.
