Would anyone care to share feedback on golf courses. Want to make a tee time for DH but we are only 2 weeks out (looking for am tee time on Mar 6) and not sure that I will be able to secure. We are staying at OKW. Which course is closest and at which course might I have the best chance of securing tee time? Any other ideas/suggestions for golfing on property?

Thanks

For the real answer to this question, just call 1-407-WDW-GOLF. They are the only ones that can tell you if there are T-Times available for your dates.

The closest cours to OKW is the Lake Buena Vista Course, which actually runs through OKW. The pro shop for this course is at SSR.

You might also want to take a look at http://www.wdwgolf.com for some very good info on golf at WDW.

I love all of the Disney courses. We went for our annual trip in Dec and played Osprey (my personal favorite), Eagle Pines and Palm. Great experience. Fortunately the day we played Palm the Richard Petty experience was quiet. When they get those NASCAR cars going at that attraction you can't even hear yourself think on the Palm course.

If you are a Vacation Club member, be aware of the Vacation Club Annual Golf membership. Pay $50.00 for the membership and get golf after 10AM at a significantly reduced rate. In Dec it was $50.00 but in March it may be more. The membership allows you to get a complete 4 some at the lower rate.

Also, be aware that Bell Sevices can arrange for a free taxi to any of the WDW courses. The bag services desk or pro shop at the courses can arrange for the taxi back to OKW.

Clubs can be stored at the golf course if more than 1 round is to be played during a vacation and if the next round is out of another club house (there are 3), your clubs will be transferred to the appropriate club house. Just tell the guys in the bag room.

Last year my DH golfed at the one near GF and loved it. He went alone and he booked the tee time on line. We booked as early as possible and he got a 2:50 tee time, he wanted as early as possible. I have heard that all the courses are great. I would suggest that you try to find a tee time that is reasonable for you and then decide which one based on that.
