Hi, We will on on the Jan. 22 Eastern cruise. My husband and 2 friends are hoping to get in a round of golf somewhere. Does anybody have any suggestions as to where they can play? Thank you very much!

I know there is a golf excursion at St. Thomas thru DCL. I think it was around $130 per person for 18holes, it included green fees and the cart, as well as transportation to and from the course.

I'm sure there are other ways and places to golf, but at least you know it's available!

Hi, we are cruising 11/13 on the eastern. DH is playing golf in St Thomas. We booked thru DCL. WE were told the golf on St Maarten was not a good course. Apparently it used to have a hotel on it that is not operational right now and the condition of the course was questionable. Because of transportation issues would have cost more than the DCL excursion on ST Thomas. DCL used to have a golf excursion on ST Maarten, but when the hotel closed they stopped doing them. Our TA seems to think it wasn't a coincidence.

HTH!

My parents did the golf excursion in St. Thomas in May of this year. They LOVED it!

We are currently on the Magic and did St Thomas today. It was wonderful and an awesome course. Not sure where you got the info from. Booking it through Disney was cheaper that doing it on my own, which is what I did two years ago when I played behind Tiger Woods.

Tell him to go for it. He will not be diappointed. I play often and in celebery tournaments and this course is quite good.

The cost was $135.00

The Mullet Bay Golf Course in St. MAarten is a little run down! It looked beautiful from our balcony at the Maho but when you got there it was very dry and the greens and fairways were just like the rest of the grass on the island - no special waterers there. It did use to be a really nice course before the last major hurricane hit St. Maarten - that was a while ago. Since then the resort has not been repaired - so lots of worn down buildings.

I would not recommend spending the $90 (I think it was around there back in Dec) green fees to golf in St. Maarten.
