I am going to arrange for my DH to golf with our friends during our upcoming trip in September.

I would like to take advantage of the after 10:00am discounts. Probably set up a tee-time for late afternoon.

Anyway, which course to play???

Also, does anyone know of any other discounts on golf for passholders and/or DVC?

Thanks a bunch.

While I love golfing at all of the WDW courses, my two favorites are over at Bonnet Creek. They are Osprey Ridge and Eagel Pines. As far as discounts, when I was down there a couple of months ago, my AP got me a better discount then my DVC membership. But that might be different now. I hope your DH has a wonderful time. :cool1:

My dad comes down 6 times a year and plays all the courses!! His favorites by far are Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines!! I usually do not go out with him but I head over for lunch with him at the Sand Trap Grill. This is a little known restaurant and one of hte cast members great spots for lunch when meeting clients. The portions are awesome and the view, well you will see!!

I also agree, Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge are beautiful courses!
I played at Lake Buena Vista in college tourneys, so I do have fond memories there, but it's just not as challenging or visually stimulating as EP and OR. I've also played at Palm and Magnolia, the week after the pros were there, the rough was unbearable and it kind of soured me on the courses...
There's also GPS on the carts at Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge, which is definitely fun when playing on vacation! My DH and I head down in May for the discounted rates, set up a late afternoon tee time and it's a great way to end your day!

My husband has played Osprey Ridge a few times - it is not too difficult (big greens), and is very nice. We played LBV together on our honeymoon - okay but not great scenery.

It is cheaper if you play after 3:00 PM also.

Have fun!

DH loves to golf at Disney. The current after 10:00 special is called "price slice"-varying rates at each course ($40-$60). For the DVC discount, you have to buy the yearly card, which I think costs $50/year. Then, after 10:00 costs $35/round at any course. But remember, you have to buy the card. I think the AP gives you 30% off day visitor rates at any course (no other discounts and good even before 10:00). DH thought Osprey was most impressive, but he thought Lake Buena Vista was a "best buy". You might want to check this website for more info on rates and the specific courses:
