This was mentioned in someone's trip report. Is there really such a contest on the ship? Where is it located and how is it played?

Hey...we watched the chipping contest from the balconies along the atrium. The game is played in the Atrium. The cruise staff rolls out a rug simiulating a golf green. Then contestants sign up and have three chances to hit the ball onto the green. Depending where it lands determines how many points they get. The balls have some sort of velcro on them to keep them on the green.

We are not into golf too much but it was fun to watch. They picked some little kids to be the ball boys and girls and they got a kick out of it. There were men, women and older children playing in the contest. I guess whoever came out at the end with the most points won....I do not remember what the prize was.

It was held in the Morning at about 9:15 am or so.

Chip-It golf was a big hit with my DH who won it! He got a nice ESPN coffee table book, a Mickey golf bag pen holder and something else, but I forget what. He was a happy camper, Disney cruise and golf, 2 of his favourite things to do!

I saw it for the first time in January and it was fun to watch! Mr Toad's Wild Race, also in the Atrium, was for the younger set and great fun to watch.
