Just got back and we did not see any probelms with golf carts. Looks like everyone was doing pretty good following the rules. I am getting old but some kids yes look younger than 16 but again it has to do with my age I think. I know my son does not look 16 but he is and has a valid driver license, Looks to me everyone was behaving. Did not seem to be as many golf carts running around like usual. Plenty of Cart parking too especially at Trails End. Night time was quiet and I am a night owl at that.
If there were no golf carts allowed at the Fort there would be something else people would be complaining about in place especially about kids. This is Disney World after all and it's all about the kids young and old.

Please keep this a positive thread.

Loved the Mater (Movie Cars) golf cart.

I wouldnt be so crazy about the Fort if it werent for the golf carts. Not that theres not plenty of other stuff to keep everyone occupied....but I really think thats what hooked me to the fort, golf carts and the good people of this board.

While on the subject of carts...yesterday I ordered a new controller for my cart thats supposed to add 8-10 mph to my speed. I hope thats why my cart aint running right now is a blown controller.....if it still doesnt run when I get the new controller my ol'ladys gonna decapitate me because Im gonna have to get a new onboard computer for it. I love living dangerously!! Crossing my fingers that the controller's the problem and that I actually DO get that extra speed I so desperately need.

We added more power to our cart and it seems to be working out real good. Good Luck.
Our cart lately seems to not want to hold a charge for very long, we did discover that our cells were very low on water so maybe it is time for a new battery and keep an eye on the water in the cells or maybe a waterless battery.
I did notice that some of the electrical outlets to charge your batteries at the Fort don't work, also our site outlet for charging our cart kept blowing the fuse so we charged from our MH.
I wonder if the Fort is slowly doing away with the electrical outlets for charging the carts? If not they need to have an electrician come out and fix them.

Speaking of kids at WDW, several years ago we were at AK with our kids and this old lady kept griping at one of the shows about all the kids there and shouldn't they be in school instead of running all around the place and getting in her way. I looked at her and said "Lady, this IS Walt Disney World. Isn't it for kids?"

My dd12 lookes 16. :scared1: She loves it, I HATE it. dd17 looks 22. Has always looked older than he is.

I have to say that I have very rarely noticed issues with the carts. Now, if I were to be driving one, the reports would go up tremendously as I would be so distracted looking around that I would most likely be bumping into things, people, dogs, RVs, etc. Needless to say I don't think you will see me driving one around. Now, when I get my power chair in, ya'll better watch out!!!! :rotfl: I was dangerous enough last trip in a manual, especially when ds17 was pushing.

And yes, Colleen, I too am noticing how much younger teenagers are looking these days. It is a pity when I look at a 20yo and think "look at that kid". Doesn't seem like it was that long ago since I was that young, but it was.

Thanks for trying to keep things positive around here.

Hope it works. I agree carts are a special part of the Fort.:thumbsup2

Just watched your video riding at the Fort! I love that illegal pass through the unhitch area! hehe :rotfl:

the cart sounds good too...some of the gas carts I have heard sound terrible

I'm usually good and respect the forts rules, but bending them every now and then is fun.:cool1:

That is hillarious.
Gas power...... only way you can get that kind of speed out of a golf cart. But I did try that on our electric golf cart when we took our ATVs to Durham Town GA. Funny not quite the same on an electric cart, now if I would have had your golf cart there I would have had heads turning. LOL
Is your golf cart gator orange and blue? Love it.
