If you get a Cabana, do the golf carts just drive you between two set points, or can you get a ride to anywhere you want to go on the island? We'd be happy to do something like hire a jeep or something, but I didn't see anything like that.

Given that both of us have mobility issues getting around might be kind of difficult.
We would like to be able to go see characters. Is there a part of the island where you can go swimming? Like up to at least my chest swimming?

There are no golf carts for hire. Check with the concierge team about transport to and from your cabana at the beginning and end of the day, that should not be an issue. I do not know if they would be able to drive you around throughout the day to other parts of the island.

The characters appear at various places during the day and are often right at the dock and post office areas, so easy to see. The daily schedule will tell you where they are.

Yes, you can swim all over the island and the water gets deeper as you move away from the shore. The depth will depend on the tides. In the past the areas in front of the family cabanas and Serenity could be more shallow at low tide. The deepest water is in front of the main family beach.

Once when we had a cabana they told us they would take us back to the ship on a golf cart but never came back for us. This was late in the day so it wasn't like it was earlier and they forgot. We barely made the last tram back to the ship.

We have had a cabana twice and it seems like being able to use a golf cart is hit or miss. If you happen to come across one when you need it, they are happy to give you a ride, but they aren't sitting there at your beck and call. Perhaps the situation is different for those who have mobility issues and try to make arrangements for this ahead of time, but I don't have any knowledge of that.

if you had missed the tram, they probably would’ve sent a golf cart for you. They know whether people have reboarded the ship and would never leave anyone stranded at CC.

I'm not sure there are actual golf carts for hire like what you're talking about. There is a tram that goes back and forth between the main areas and the boat through the day. I'm sure you can talk to the staff about having a disability and getting dropped off and picked back up from down there but I don't think they'd shuttle you around all day for the different places you want to go. If they happen to be sitting there I'm sure they'd take you where you need to go tho

that sounds like a challenge for my first day of my double dip at CC! Try and spend the night and survive on the island without getting caught! Bring my own Wilson 🏐 for company. Although I imagine if I was successful that would be the last time they would allow me to cruise.

We’ve had a cabana at Serenity Bay four times, and every time our cabana attendant took us back to the ship in a golf cart at the end of the day. YMMV, I suppose.

We've had a cabana numerous times and if you request a golf cart they will provide one. You can use the intercom in the cabana to call concierge to take mobility challenged family members to lunch and back and to the ship and back. (also to the cabana in the morning) My family and kids have also used the golf cart to the ship at the end of the day because we are always the last back on the ship... LOL. :rotfl2: When your cabana host shows you around your cabana mention wanting/needing the golf cart at certain times,
