Golf Cart Questions?

FWDisFan - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I think I will keep the reservation then. Will probably end up getting the cart after all. Too bad only some of can use it though. It only seats 4 and there are 13 of us going (3 cabins). I think we will just drive our cars to AK & MGM & DTD. That way, if my dad needs it, it will be there. And we may do a sing-a-long/movie too so it would be helpful then as well.

On another note, is there a parking lot at the TTC? I'm also trying to figure out my "escape plan" from MVMCP. I know we wont be coming back on a boat. We did that one year after MNSSHP and encountered the largest crowd known to man. I'm afraid the parking lot at MK that night would be terrible too. My idea is to monorail to the TTC and hop in the car to get back to FW.

Oh, and I forgot to add WHY I am so concerned with time spent on busses, etc. I have to tell this because i think its so funny.

My husband and I were trying to convince my cousin to take her family on this trip us. They have never been to Disney before (since the 70's/80's I mean) and they now have an almost 3 year old son. Well, they have a tendancy to be late.....alot.....for everything. So my husband said to me, "Tell them we want them to go with us but if they are not ready to walk out the door when we are, they will be left behind." For example like going to the parks, restaurants, even being in my driveway at 3:00 a.m. for disembarkment (is that a word?) from Atlanta.

You see, my husbands theory is this. We pay "X" amount of dollars to Disney for this trip. And its alot of "X"s. Disney is basically charging us "by the minute" to be on their property. And anyone caught not getting "maximum enjoyment" out of the Disney experience is a fool. A flat out fool. Idle time is like money down the drain, etc.... We are paying by the minute by god, and we will get our moneys worth! :rotfl2: It just cracks me up. He is SO Gung-Ho Disney, and to think he thought I was crazy to take him there in the first place - go figure :earsboy:

There were a FEW larger golf carts that my then 5 year old called "golf cart limos"!! But even with that many people you could take a few to the locale and go back and get the rest! I would be surprised if you regret getting it.
It was extremely handy for the campfire and movie by the way!

There is a large parking lot at the TTC - we parked there our last morning (we always try to get back to the MK before we head out of town....) and took the monorail to the MK.

That is a great story about your DH and WDW! It is absolutely true though -- if they were chronically late and slowing down the group you can always tell them which park you'll be in and to see you later!! Too much to see and do -- we try to maximize every minute we are there!

OH I forgot to mention that my husband was against the golf carts as we planned our trip -- based almost exclusively on cost (think Scrooge McDuck! ) BUT even now he admits he loved the golf cart and would do it again!

I would get the cart for travel inside FW but I still prefer to drive a vehicle most places like the water parks and DTD. The only resort we used Disney trans was MK by boat. Hope this helps. :disrocks:
