We have always taken our golf cart to the fort, but now that we tow the travel trailer we can't. I can't believe how expensive the fort carts are. Does anyone know of an off site rental place. Normally I would just pay the price, but we are barely able to afford the trip as it is.

Thanks, Kim

If you tow with a truck maybe you could put the cart in the bed.

Wish I had all the time back I spent trying to get my 4 wheelers around in a toy hauler that only carries 2. Easiest thing is to just rent a cart because if you buy a carrier or anything it will cost more. Believe me, I've researched it all.

You and me both. I was to cheap to rent a cart from disney . So instead I have spent to much on golf carts and trailers. Oh well everybody needs debt :confused3 .

We're renting off site this year from Golf Cart Enterprises
http://www.golfcartenterprises.com/

We'll be there 3 weeks so it actually ended up being a good bit cheaper than Disney - $530 incl. delivery (and that's actually for a full month rental).

The company only does deliveries/pickup Mon-Fri.

We haven't used them before, so we'll see how their service is. So far they've been good to work with. :moped:

Here is the one we use and were very pleased with: http://www.gevehicles.com/index.html

Contact Steve Senesi at kartimann@msn.com or his cell at 1-407-947-2013. He is their regional sales rep.

He will give you a much better deal than Disney, especially if you are staying for an extended period of time.

He will deliver to your site once you arrive, and will pick it up at your site the morning you are leaving. Monday through Friday.

When you talked to them did they tell you what year the golf carts were? I want a fairly modern one, not an old one. Thanks.

I thought I had read somewhere that Disney didn't allow golf carts to be delivered to campsites anymore. Has that changed?

It hasn't, you have to take delivery in the overflow parking lot.

Not true. Steve (see my above post) will deliver to your site. Disney doesn't know the difference between his carts and ones that are owned by campers.....UNLESS YOU TELL THEM!

I guess I over-stated the case. Disney (as I understand it) does not allow outside vendors to truck golf carts in and off-load them at your site. The most convenient place they have to off-load is in the overflow lot. Apparently this vendor is wiling to off-load there and then deliver the cart to the site. I wonder how he handles the logistics after he delivers. Does he hoof-it out, take two guys and two carts, hit up the customer for a lift? Anyway, I don't believe the off-loading policy has changed.

Disney is getting 57$ a day for there carts we just got back from 15 days wish we knew about the outside places 57 x15 = lots well next year i'll bring my own just bought one may take a few trips to save anything
we also heard they were short carts while we were there they were only doing 2 day rentals if you didn't have ressies in advance for your stay

Steve just walks to the bus stop and takes a bus back to the Outpost. I have always offered to take him, but he politely refuses. I had an issue with our first cart last summer, so he brought another one. They were both 2002 or newer, I think. I have used him for the past 3-4 years, and I used Golf Cart Enterprises before that. (I had to pick it up way back then.) Yes, I know, I have spent enough on rentals to have bought my own... It's the hauling/storage/charing all winter that has kept me from that...
