Golf Cart Question

Heading to FW Cabin in 11 days with DH, DS (3) and DD (4 months).
We have a cart rented for the entire 7 days that we're there.
I've stayed in the cabins before but quite a while back.
Does anyone know if you're able to take the cart over to the Wilderness Lodge via the trail?

The carts are only for use at Fort Wilderness and are not allowed off of that property.

It would be a great way to get back and forth but unfortunately against the rules.
