I wanted to check with the Dis'er Golf Cart Experts before I purchased a cart. I've found a 99 EZGO TXT w/ 2004 Exide batteries for $1350 including charger. It's red, so I'm not sure if it would be a fleet car or not?

I want to eventually hop it up..EMP motor, 400amp controller, lift kit, the works over time, so I don't want to make a mistake!

Of course I will use it CAMPING! :wizard:

It could be a fleet cart, the ones our course uses are gold... ugly as turd.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the E-Z-Go. Others have them and love them, but I do not. The steel frames can rust, and I think the ride on a club car is much sturdier. That being said, it sounds like a good deal, but I'd hold out for a Club Car.

The batteries are on the downside of the hill....but for that price, you could easily do worse. Id definately consider it. Try to haggle the price, see if there's any play in there, I bet ya could get it a little lower.

I absolutey agree about the sturdier ride...I drove several ez's when shopping and TO ME it seemed like every ez needed a front wheel alignment, but thats just an opinion.

Price seems to be fair if the batteries hold a good charge. New batteries $600 bucks. That being said I like gas carts and prefer YAMAHA they are fast from the start.

It's a 9 yr old cart with 4 yr old batteries. Weighing those 2 factors I say a good deal is $1,000 a fair deal $1200. JMHO

I have a 98 Yamaha that has a steel frame. They can rust but what I did was tear mine down to the frame. Sanded the frame and then put a LineX type coat on it. It should hold up for many years to come. Then I built it back up with all the custom crap. I have been broke now for going on 2 years.:thumbsup2

yours is a very nice cart..... I like the noisemaker.

BigK....you have a pic of your cart on here anywhere? (you dont have Honey Brown logos on it do you??);)

Rog,

There is a few floatin around on here but here is a before and after pic of my cart.:thumbsup2 No beer stickers on it but I can fold the rear seat to make a utility deck specifically to hold my cooler of beer.

Wow! It's like extreme makeover golf cart edition.

Ohh Yeeeaaahhhh......How could I forget THIS CART!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!

Frankly I'd rather find a "junker" because I plan to upgrade the motor/controller anyways. So far the few fixer-upers I've found have been too far into the grave for my abilities.:upsidedow

LOL!:rotfl:

Just out of curiousity what cart did you end up getting?

We got a 2007 Fairplay , at the same time our neighbor had Mike build him a custom cart , so we got a real good deal . We were told the 2008 Fairplay has downsized the motor and controller therefore do not perform as well or fast as they usetacould. Ours however , we are perfectly happy with. It averages bout 17 MPH , on good days bout 20 MPH. If you want to know anything else or want us to talk to Mike for you just PM us. :goofy: :goofy:

I know everyone is bashing ezgo, but I love my ezgo and it is an old fart by the one you are looking at. I have the before and after pics on the useless chit chat thread. I won't repost them because they give Gatordad indigestion. He can't handle correct colors.:lmao:

that's ok, one of my players showed up tonight wearing a redsux shirt for practice....... I will get him back.

We have a fairly new EZGO and we love it too! I have read alot of negative comments about the EZGO (of course after we bought it) but I am really happy with ours. I may have looked at the Club Car closer had I found this forum before buying our golf cart. We keep our golf cart in the garage and do not get it wet very often, so I am hoping that rust will not be a problem.

I hope I didn't come off as bashing E-Z-Go.... I was trying to be sensitive to the feelings of those who own them on here....
