Hello Fellow Disney Campers!

I was wondering how much walking is involved to get to the Trading Post from the campsites. We will most likely be in loop 1500 or 2000 since we're tent camping, so just wondering about distance to make it to eat in the mornings. We are both active adults that are traveling without children, so we're just wondering if it's even worth it to spend the ~$50/day on a golf cart...it seems SO expensive! Any advice would really help. Thanks!

The 1500 loop is across the street from the trading post and would be a nice walk. The 2000 is a little further but there is a cut thru behind the 900 loop that would make it a little shorter. Can you bring bikes? If not I would at least rent a cart for a day and ride all the loops to see the other campers and if it's during a season, decorations are fun to look at.

I agree with Donnie.:thumbsup2 Yes, 50.00 a day is kinda expensive,,on the other hand, it is also one of the cheapest forms of fun and entertainment, dollar wise, you can get on Disney property per day. (if you rent buggy by the week it is a couple bucks cheaper)

Thanks for the replies. So are we talking about 1/2 a mile? I'm just seeing if it's do-able...Where can you rent a buggy?

We love the golf carts. It is part of the fun. If you can afford one, I would get it. It is nice to get off of the boat at night and puts back to your site or cabin. It isn't necessary but adds to the fun. We cut the days down a little so we can afford it. Like the first day we are there we get one but turn it in the day before. Saves $50.

we have done it both ways....with a little one we think its the best!!! I'd have my bike for sure if I didn't have a cart...go for it...!

They are now renting the golf carts at the main lobby where you check in. They have the carts waiting outside where the campers drive through for check-in. Cart return is on the right side of the check-in lanes as you are leaving. Not sure if they are still doing it at the bike barn but I don't think so.

They even painted the signs over with brown paint that pointed to the bike barn. They look so funny! Like you can't see what they originally said....geesh.
