Golf Cart - Ft. Wilderness to Lodge?

I believe there was a time when you could take your golf cart from Ft. Wildernees to the Wilderness Lodge, but my DH says the trail is now closed to carts. Is this true?

Yes, you could drive the carts to the end of the trail that leads to the lodge for a short time, but I think that only lasted about a year. Now you'll have to park at the marina and catch a boat or park at the Settlement bus stop and catch the bus. The golf carts are still a great convenience and lots of fun, though!
