Anyway... I'm trying to understand the logic that breaking the rules and dangerous driving has anything to do with whether or not the cart is rented or belongs to the person.
The issue with private carts is that some of them are "tricked-out" with lift kits (which means they ride higher off of the pavement with larger wheels) and larger engines that presumably make them more dangerous than the "stock" carts that are rented out by the Fort. There is a school of thought that the people with the tricked out carts will drive faster and crazier than the folks who rent the slow, plain carts from the Fort.
While driving one of the boring Fort rental carts, I have been tailgated and honked at by folks with faster private carts. Not very often, but it has happened. The rude and crazy drivers are a very small percentage of the people who bring their own carts to the Fort.
This is very much a case of a few bad apples spoiling it for the whole barrel.
