I live here in SC. The weather can be hit or miss. We tend to have a few storms that time of year. Its usually a bit windy down by the coast as well. So, put on a jacket and get to golfing (if you can afford the lost balls).

And be prepared in January for "frost delays". DH has encountered that several times-where they push everything back a couple hours to give the sun time to warm up and thaw out the greens. I remember one morning, we showed up for a 7:30 tee time and were told that due to the weather to come back at 9:00. Gave us plenty of time to go to Walmart and buy hats and gloves.
