I am not big on rides that go 'round and round' - my stomach gets woozie on those. I can go on rollercoasters and things upside down - but round and round makes me go round and round. haha.
Is this what this ride does? Anyone else with this 'ride problem' able to ride the GZ or better to stay away?

Also - the Mailiboomer....how scary is it really?? Part of me really wants to try it, but part of me is pretty scared....

I don't remeber what the Maliboomer is, but the golden Zephers are about as scary as Dumbo to me. They were my DD 's favorite when she was 7.

Maliboomer isn't really scary -- it shoots you to the top and then falls, but the fall is kind of bouncy -- we really like it, and I would recommend at least trying it once.

I haven't been on the Golden Zephyr -- it's a really tame ride.

I get sick very easy on anything that moves!!! I am fine on Pirates and Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan but get sick on coasters, caousels, Ferris wheels and spinners. I have ridden Golden Zephyr twice. Once with Meclazine motion sickness pills and once without. The time with the pills I didn't get very dizzy at all. The time without I got a little more dizzy. It is a very pleasant ride if you can handle the spinning. It is also a very short ride.
Maliboomer doesn't spin at all. It shoots up, bounces a bit and then slowly lowers to the ground. It was exhilerating. I got a tiny bit sick with the bouncing part and would do it again.

I've only ridden the maliboomer and waiting for it to take off was the scariest part for me. I don't know if I'll have the courage to ride it again next time.

I rode the Maliboomer once and that was enough. I do not like "free falling". But the Zephyr is a lot of fun for me. It swings you around in a circle at a fairly slow pace but you are angled and definitely slide to one side. The view is quite nice...it goes over the lake area...and the wind is in your hair giving you a "flying" type of feel. If you see it running, go for it. It is not operating more than not due to winds. It is not open if there is any kind of wind at all.
Have a wonderful trip :bitelip:

Oh, and don't miss the Orange Stinger. There is rarely a line and one of my favorites at DCA. :D
